Awesome! I'm downloading it right now and soon I'm going to finally play it.

Oh yeah, I just came up with that a dragon was a inventory item in A Tale of Betrayal.

Hey, if you would suddenly draw your own characters on low res characters without have scanned the pics than you would have problems too. But hey, the look is locked now. I'm happy and satisfied with the latest results.

QuoteMats Berglinn: The "Sprengstoff tötet" ("Explosives kill") is in german, because I don't know if you have got these large, white warning messages on your cirgarette boxes like "Smoking kills.

We do have them on cigarette boxes here in Sweden too.

Actually I prefer her mule to be pink rather than blackgray. I have drawn Ziri like this on paper since I was a kid. Besides, if you think about it mice aren't totally black, don't have fully round ears or have pink skin around their mouths but we all know that Mickey Mouse does look like that. Does cartoon characters really have to follow realism to be believible? Doesn't seem so to me.

Well I like the middle one best (although I thought that the last one was hilirous) but I just edit slightly so it looks like this:

Thanks for the help, Chicky. And you others, I did appreciate your help too.

Grundislav: I don't like that because that's not how I draw the Crocis Crocodile characters. The way you have drawn Ziri looks so weird. I'm sorry to say this but the way I draw Ziri's mouth looks better than yours.

Speaking of the stripes, I was going to draw stripes but they didn't fit on the face because it would mix up with the colors of the hair.

cp: Well, it looks better than the others but still not what I hoped for. Here she looks a bit bored or almost ready to fall asleep.

Darth: I'm not sure if you read out her name but she's a zebra like her lastname. I know zebras normally don't have a pink mule like a horse but it looks better that way. Anyway I don't like how the color is around her eyes, sorry.

Nah, the eyes looks too much like glasses (like you said) or too stare-y.
#350
Nah, I don't like the pink lines under her eyes and above them. They look so... weird.

I have made some character sprites for a Crocis Crocodile game which features my own characers I made up ever since my childhood. I have problem with one of them. This character who is a good guy character is called Ziri Zebra and is the one of the heroes you can controll (yeah, in that game you don't controll three characters like in DOTT and MM but six characters including this one).

The problem I got here is the eyes. Since Crocis Crocodile chracters are cartoony she originally had black outlines for her eyes but it didn't look good so I tried to have different tone of white on her fur/skin but when I uploaded it from the laptop to my stationairy PC I couldn't tell any difference between the fur and the eyes. Can anyone help me with this little problem of mine?

This seems to be a very funny game. The names of the island and the hero makes me snigger.

In the screenshot with all the explosives, some of the text are german while other is english, is that delibriate or is that just a mistake?

Frank the Farmhand 1 was high-res and 2 seems to be high-res too so somehow it seems weird to have cutscenes that are low-res in a high res game (I feel like it would look weird when seeing those in the game). If you're worried about the file size why not split those into multiple files that you have to download to play the game? Well, you got my two cents (or kronas if you like).

If the beta-test version is ready by tomorrow/today when do you think the release date for the final game will be?

There is nothing stopping you from doing it but you'd have much more control over the animation and there would be much more you could do with a much smaller file size if you used something like Flash.

No offense, MrColossal, but AGS is free while Flash costs money.

Isn't there an english version of the first episode? If not, then please translate. Not every one understands germany, you know.

QuoteBut it seems as if something strange happened to the carpet in the last edit - some blue, red and yellow pixels.

Yeah, I know. It happened when I remade the shadows in paint which meant I had to paint over the carpet with the color that was before the noise but it seemed like that I didn't blend in the right light in the maroon color and therefore it's been a bit blue and yellow pixels (after adding the noise).
Well, I didn't use Photoshop to remake the shadows because the line tool is stupid compaired with the one in paint (I wish the lines in Photoshop aren't as trasparent as it is but solid like paint).

DontTreadOnMe: Thanks for the comments. Maybe an alternitive idea for the painting is to switch the Crocis paiting with one of the guys above him.

The wall IS suppoused to turn to the left because it's a big room (which you off course can't see).

That is no frog! That's a crocodile. Don't you read what I write? Sorry about that but I feel so harmed when people doesn't see what things actually are especially if the character I have been with ever since I was a seven year old kid.

Haven't you seen the Blues Brothers (the original, not 2000)? At the Chez Paul resturant there was fiddle/violin music but no one played at that scene. Besides there is a point in the game that there are just ONE employee in that place but if explained it here it would ruin the surprise.

Here's a new version with fixed shadows, lightened up the phone and made the background color of the paintings lighter to make them stand out less.

Oops, I forgot the shadows of the candles of the table. Don't worry, I'll fix those.

I'm sorry Mr. Mozarella but I have changed my mind about Mona Lisa because Leo Da Vinci isn't french but italian and even if this is a humorous cartoon like game it wouldn't be too appropiate to have an italian thing in a luxurary french restaurant. It was quite good effort of you, though.

Here's a new version that is not totally finished but here it is anyway:

I'm not sure about the shadows but since it's daytime outside and there are some windows that are off-screen. I also haven't added the drapes because I'm not sure where I shall hang them and how to "hang" them up.

In case you wonder, the guy in the painting with yellow suit is Touché Island's governor, a character that you will see somewhere at the beginning (not right away from the beginning but after an hour or two of playing). The painting of the crocodile with purple jacket-vest is not a character that you meet in the game at all but he's a character that will be starring in a future game. His name is Crocis Crocodile and he's a famous guy.

The other guys are just madeup guys for this game but when you play you will at least know their names. I was planning to have a painting of George W Bush as a spoof but he was too tough to draw even with a photo as reference.
