Hmmm... Well, maybe I will do something like that with the beard but not the mustasches, I like them the way they originally look.

Here is a new version of beard number three. I have changed it so it looks like less "Pac-man" and added a bit between "the openings".

While I written the game which features this character, I talked about it to one of my class-mates in the gymnasium school (it's like college in a way) and he came up with the name Captain Pepe Roni and the joke about the missprouncing. I liked the name so I use the name for this character.

DanClarke: Bravo! Bravo! (claps my hands) Couldn't say it better myself.

You know what, I didn't think of that AGS-guy just gather a team so he does nothing and the others do the job, no sir-ee! I think you all who is against AGS-guy should be ashamed of yourself or Murray will haunt you for the rest of your lives until you burn in Inferno! Ok, I just overreacted but I still think that you could have been a lot less harsch against this guy.

Quotethink it's a little patronising

Don't you actually mean "generalising"?

Okay, here is the changes for the original Pepe Roni and the different beards.

I have made the clothes darker and changed the "belt" around the chest and added a regular belt.

Well, looks like there different tastes around here so I wait with deciding which beard I'm going to use. I found a bit surprising that anyone like the original beard.

Oh yeah, don't mind about the eye-brows on the version 2 original, I just noticed that misstake and I'm going to change the color back to the beard's color.

I have made a main-sprite for a bad guy called Captain Pepe Roni. He is coming from an upcoming game that I have written on before I came across with AGS.

This is Captain Pepe Roni, a fearsome, cruel pirate leader with some LeChuck like influense (except that he's not dead or undead). Almost everyone pronounces his name wrong so they say Captain Pepperoni. His goal is to find the fabled LeDrake treasure to use it's power to take over the world.

As you can see I'm not sure about the beards so I made different kinds of beards to use for him.

The first one is obviously inspired from the CMI version of the zombie-pirate LeChuck. The rest of the beards I made up by myself.

Which beard do you think I should use? Opinions are welcome and so does your own beard suggestions.

1: Lucas Arts, Monkey Island and AGS.

2: Iventory, Lucas Arts-style speech, mind-boggling puzzles (although not too hard) and a good plot (like Monkey Island, Grim Fandango Day of the Tentacle ect.)

3: M0ds: Kinky Island, Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth and no more that I know so far.

4: Grim Fandango, Curse of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max and Neverhood (first ever played adventure game in my life).

When will this game actually be released? It has gone more than a month since you guys have told us about that the translation would be finished within one or two weeks.

I know that you can make the music loop in rooms but it's not that CD repeat thing where the music plays from beginning to end and then start over again. It's about looping the music so that it begins when you enter a room but the music seems to play forever as long as you are in that particular room. For example: If you play a company-made game like Grim Fandango and listen to the music in a room, notice that the music does begin but it keeps on playing without any stops and replay. In AGS-games and in the CD-ROM version of Secret of Monkey Island, the music does start, go on, then end and the music starts again.

I think that the music will be appreciated in a better way if the music just keeps on going and going and going and going instead of that play, stop, replay, stop, replay thing.

Doesn't that sound like a good idea?

Is this game suppoused to be a sequel of MM and DOTT? I have looked at the screenshots and the conceptual art and too me it seems more like a remake of MM than a sequel.

Because of that the adventure will take part on Scythe Island, any chance that Grim Reaper will show up?
#553
This is going to be cool! I would like to know about the main-character. What does he look like? Is he a young man or a fearsome pirate? What is his mission? Does he live on Scythe Island or did he travel there for a certain reson?

It looks great but smoke from cigarettes are white, not darkgray.

Nice, but I think the sword is a little too big!!

Cloud from Final Fantasy VII also had a very big sword. Remember that he told that it was inspired from Cloud from FF VII?  ;D

Maybe I would download it. But not if the graphics and sprites are the same as the original because I got Secret of Monkey Island on CD-rom.

Not bad rules, not bad at all. In fact, they're quite cool. If it weren't because of my computer doesn't let me play AGS games or test my own AGS games I would have started on it right away.

By the way, what is a tuning fork?

Hey, shouldn't the winner be announced? It's 1 April already, so the new rules should have been appeared by now.

That's an interresting idea, LGM. Just one question: Who's going to to start it?
