This looks very promising but there is one thing that bugged me. Lord Ironcrow takes the unenployment for his army and he wants Pib because his dad was a warrior in Ironcrow's army saying that Pib is unemployed but that is wrong since Pib is a wizard apprentice and a apprentice is a student. I know this is middle-age but it still doesn't feel right that Ironcrow tries to get Pib in his army even if he is actually a student and not unemployed. Looks like I have found the first story error to the game even before it got released, I would say it's unbelieveable.

I like the new cloth but you should add a belt or something like that. Asian people always wear a belt when wearing this kind of clothes.

Yeah, I liked the game. It has a exciting storyline, nice animations, catchy music tunes and laughable humor. It was like a funny clay cartoon. I feel sorry for the guys that the game didn't sell so much. It would be fun if they made a sequel to that game because I don't think the Neverhood story would end there.

What I can say is that the backgrounds are good-looking. About the character, change the clothing so it looks more chinese. As it is now the dress doesn't look like it's from Asia. I have an advice for you: search for "Chinese clothes" on Altavista or Google or whereever to find some designs for your game.

I came up with a kind of varriant of mini-game puzzle. In Sam & Max: Hit the Road, you have to play Whack-a-rat game where try to whack about 20 rats before the time is up and you with a lamp which is a necessary iventory item. The same goes for Gator golf except for you have try to think about how to make the crocodiles form up so Sam can reach Max.

QuoteAt least you don't die but you have to go all the way back up the cliff, talk to Ozzy (I think that was his name) and then try again.

That's the wrong name. The liftguy in CMI name is LaFoot. I think you confused him with Ozzie Mandrill from EFMI.

Minimi, an Easter egg is a hidden puzzle that you don't have to solve in order to finish the game but it can reveal either a bonus feature, a joke or something very funny. I give you an example that does not come into any game (I think): Say that you encounter a unimportaint character reading a book and is very concentrated into what he is doing. You try to talk to him but he doesn't answer. Then you try to interact (or Push/pull if you use Lucas Art's GUI) in order to disturb him but he won't react. You use a horn to disturb him but he ignore that to. Finally you use a megaphone and that will cause the guy to drop his book and pay attention to you.

Do I make myself clear?

Hey I just came up with a puzzle that haven't been discussed neither here or Blake Speer's list. I'm not sure what to call it but I would call it Timing puzzle.

In Escape from Monkey Island (don't blame me for mention it just because you hate that game) you had to throw rocks into a series of canals in order to make a huge boulder fly and plunge into the lava-field. You were suppoused to toss the rocks into three diffrent canals (left, right and middle) but in order to get a rock in the middle end (which won't work otherwise since the rocks only roll left or right) you had to make a rock bump on another rock to change the direction. In order to make the rocks bump is to toss the second or thrid rock at the left canal at the certain time. Now, here in the cliffs there roots at the canal which shakes as the rocks roll pass them. That gives you the clue to when to toss the rocks into the other canals. If you toss the rock the second before or the second after the root shakes the rocks won't bump into each other and therefore thay won't get the rocks into the right place so it's much about timing in this kind of puzzle.

When I was the winner last month he sended a PM to me about the rules. You are just PM him the rules. I'm a bit excited about what the rules will be but I'll not be in the next month competition because it takes so much time and I need to get on working on Hawaiian Treasure Prologue/Demo. Anyway, I congratulate and salut you, GinnyW! And pretty good game too.

It's just a few hours left before it's over. I don't know if the deadline will be at 18:00 (I don't know at which timeline but it would be London time) but you guys gotta hurry if there is going to be any voting. I know that it has been hard times because of Christmas and other things but I know that you guys can do it!

It would be sad if there are no games up before the competition is over. If the case will be like that then I will make the new rules and I make them much more simple than this month rules so more guys can be for the competition.

Good luck to you all and let's all hold our thumbs for that at least one or two games will make it in time.

Well Minimi, at normal circumstances I wouldn't accept Puddy Penguin because he is only known to some agsers but not so well-known in Sweden, England, USA, Denmark etc. and therefore he isn't what we call "famous" in the terms of the rules... But because it is so little time left I make this an exeption.

I see forward to your post GinnyW.  ;) I hope you others can make it in time.

General Discussion / Re:Writing
Sun 21/12/2003 12:32:16
Well, I write a lot of stories and scripts myself. Even if I haven't got anything published yet (apart from some Internet site) I got some tips to you.

A: Write a short story or a chapter for a story and set a link to it in Crictic's lounge.

B: Write the story and show it to your parents, relatives, buddies, your teachers (if you still are in school that is) or others. Let them read it, ask them for crictique and they will give you tips and hints.

C: Don't be afraid of being inspired of others. Myself my writing to my own book, the Legend of the Togastone, I try to get inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien.

D: Follow the storyline you have chosed. Try to not break down the story too much by unimportaint stuff.

Well, that's all. Good luck!

Strange... no games have come up yet. I wonder if this will be like repeating last month? Now hurry up people but don't panic. Panic is the path to the dark side. Panic leads to stress, stress leads to frustration, frustration... leads to suffering. Sorry, I couldn't resist saying that. Anyway, it's just one more week to go (7 days to be more exactly). If you feel stressed because time starts running out just chill out on Christmas-eve or Christmas-day (depending on when yo get the presents, for myself it's at Christmas-eve  ;D).

There is something in the medicine-chick's place that will help.

Well, the game was a bit too short and the ending really disappointed me.
(To those who haven't finished Pirate fry 3 don't look below)
Spoiler
I thought that you would kick the butt of a evil monster king and save the world and the medicinechick but what happens? The medicinechick also turns into one of those undead headless guys despite that Fry really liked her. I hope you won't make such a bad-ass ending like that in the sequels (if you make anymore of course) or I will never ever again play them. If I were you, I would have came with a better ending.

Otherwise it was good.

I like your idea, asafii. By the way, Haddon wasn't exactly the one who made the first Santa Claus but he was the one who gave him the red suit which we all know him as.

There is one thing that is strange about the cat. If you look at the hissing animation and the normal stand and compair them with the side walking you see the difference. On the side walking there are som kind of weird fur at the sides while on the hissing veiw there are no side fur. How come it is like that?  ???

Here is an update of Wizardhood. I've got rid of all the bugs mentioned plus added the music-piece for the Drunken Duck bar.
