Mats, why do you ruin our chances at getting into that game?

Sorry! I didn't meant to make you mad. I just wanted to give out some support. :-[ :-[

If you need actors ask m0ds, LGM and Azure. I recommend those, especially Azure if you need female voices. Here is her site: www.btinternet.com/~yukino/form.htm.

When I was a kid I made up a character for a play once for Funny hour at the fridays in school. Me and my friends made a play about three animals that were captured at a zoo and then they escape back to the freedom of Africa. One of them was Crocis Crocodile and he was made up by me. He was inspired from Hannah-Barbera's Wally Gator and from the first Crocis had a hat and tie like Wally Gator. Years later after we have done two plays featuring Crocis Crocodile and his pals Koko Monkey and Ziri Zebra, I made comedian strips for the school magazine with him and his pals. I wanted to make Crocis my own character like Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Koko and Ziri weren't actually my creation, they were my girl-buddies' creations but since we didn't do Crocis Crocodile together so I took them (hey didn't mind it however). I have made a couple of stories of Crocis including two animated movie scripts and two christmas stories. There are a lot of this under construction like a third movie, a comic about Crocis and pals as detectives, a special movie with Crocis' twin brother Cayman and even AGS games. So that's why I made Crocis into an avatar. Of course I saw Crocis as a famous movie star so that's why now I have the "Blues Brothers" Crocis avatar but if you remember I used the original Crocis. Maybe I will change Crocis into other movie star but I don't know yet.

The dude: I said that it's one of the characters that is named Ghardaf. The books are named The Legend of the Togastone.

Hobbes: What do you mean keep your manuscript simple? Fantasy authors doesn't make simple things and filmmakers doesn't keep it simple as well. About the grammar thing, I'm working on it so it will be as correct as possible but there will one character that will speak wrong grammer like Yoda in the Star Wars movies.

Evil: Nah, your name suggestions weren't good.

Ben: Thanks for letting me know.

Hey guys! I have a little bit of a problem. I'm writing a fantasy novel in two parts called The Legend of the Togastone. I'm done with the first book of two and it's under correcting before atempting to publish it. Here is the problem: My sister and her boyfriend think the name Ghardaf (pronounces Gar-Dah-f [Gar pronounes like garlic]) is too similiar to Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings. They believe that fantasy fans will find that and it maybe turns out bad but I like the name so much that I don't have the heart to chage the name. Dad have told me that if a bookprinter company sees the similiars the might not like it and doesn't publish it. Now I don't know what to do and I want to make the book. Please, help me out of this dilema and say what you think about this!

Well this is my game:

Title: Wizardhood.

Story so far: Murphy is a 15-year old guy who have recently completed his master's, the wizard Melvin, wizard trials and have become a wizard. Just shortly after the announcement Murphy get's his very first mission from The Wizard Council: To get the black crystal back from the evil wizard Agrahgorth.

Here is some of the characters:

From left to right: Emilia a 15 year old witch, Murphy the main-character, Agrahgroth the dark wizard, A butt-ugly goblin, Murray the leader of the wizard council and Melvin, Murphy's former master and teacher.

And two rooms so far that is first hand drawed, then scanned and finally cleaned, colored and more detailed through Paint (plus getting more colors through Adobe photoshop). Some of the colors are wrong since had to change from bmp to gif in order to get them here.

Well, if hotspots makes the character says something funny about them I think then they are ok. Like: In The Curse of Monkey Island, Guybrush looks at a porcelaine vase, he says: "More porcelaine! When will this nightmare end?". Don't guys agree that THAT is funny? ;D ;D

I think I will enter this. Some questions though:

QuoteThere must be a well-thought ending, or conclusion.

1: What do you mean by that?

2: Do you have to have cutscenes in the game? I haven't done any cutscenes before.

3: Is it okay for a shift between night and day or must it be a shift between day and night?

4: Do you have to make a dusk/dawn scene or is it okay to use the Monkey Island style shift, you know from one place it is night and in the next place it is day?

5: Must it be vinsible magic like wizards shooting bolts from the fingers or is it okay to have "invisible" magic like in The Lord of the Rings movies?

Well, myself I have downloaded that game from abandonware this year. Unfortunitly the sound didn't work so I couldn't hear either the music, voices or sound but it still was fun thanks to the humor. Oh how I laughed, especially when Jed got the left-handed hammer and always missed the chissle until he did hit and the statue turned into gravel!  ;D
I'm gonna try to find the new CD version so I can hear the voices and the music.

I hope that the game will be for free when the company closes down because I really, really want to play that game and I don't have a paycard or creditcard or what-so-ever. Besides, I don't think that you should sell AGS-games, it doesn't feel right somehow. The only reason I would sell my games is when I need money fast and I don't have to. And also, not being able of playing the game without having a creditcard is discriminiation according to my opinion. Go ahead! Call me a cheapsake but I have a economy to follow and I'm living alone in my own apartment, still unemployeed.

A clue: You are on an island in the middle of the sea. All kinds of water have salt but what does have the highest level of salt? Think of the harbor.
