It's been awhile but now I have made some updates and changes here and added some shading (under the barstools and over the lamps, if there any place that should be shaded let me know).

I have added a machine for drinks (no, it's not booze I'm talking about, it's a diner so it only have beer, root-beer, water, tea, ice-tea, many kinds of coffee including decaf, some soda kinds and the famous Crocis Cola) and a advertising bill for Crocis Cola (it's an in-joke for Crocis Crocodile that will appear most of my games and other things because he is a famous guy but he will get his very own game after this one).

If you ask me my favorites are Peter Jacksson for Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and Two towers, and also George Lucas for the Star Wars movies plus Indiana Jones movies (with Steven Spielberg).

Ok, I think have enough of Beta-testers. Thank you everyone for helping me out. And Aussie, you still haven't given me your mail. I can't send you the game without an adress.
#764
Thanks guys. The games are on their way. Aussie, please leave your mail-adress so I can send it to you.

I have finished my first game Hungry Caveman which is a short game about a caveman looking for food. I need some Beta-testers so I can make sure it really work so it will be free from bugs and errors. So someone out there to want to test my game?

Nice done. It reminds me of the Gorillaz.

11 seconds. I don't like these kind of jokes.

Uh... got any examples of who write that down in the script? Where should I place the number for the X and Y position?
#769
I have another question. How do I place characters that are not playable at specific coordinations when they get to new rooms (I believe that it should be written the script for when player character comes into the room before fadein)? Please give me an answer as quickly as possible because it's just this left before my very first game are really finished. Then I can release it.

I wonder, how do you make characters face other directions when he is NOT talking to a person, like if you want a character to turn away from the screen or make it turn right or left. Also how do you move characters that is not Playable characters to move to other rooms?

Thanks in advice.

The problem is still there. I remember that it was beta 4 of 2:55 that I downloaded before. I tried it again but it's still there. The name didn't matter at all, so it always crash when I start a new game. Now what to do?

QuoteIs there an atmospher on planet Foora? (sorry couldn't resist that question)

Very funny. Yes it does, because neither Bill or other humans (or maybe aliens) don't need to wear space-suits, but of course you couldn't know that 'cause I didn't tell you. Ok, wall decorations it is. I'll fix those along with shading, fixing the door and the checkboard.

Proskrito: What do you mean with double pixles?

QuoteAnd it seems as if you painted most of the outlines, but forgot to paint some ones that are still black. Dont know if you did that intentionally.

What do you mean? Some lines are suppoused to be black.

For the second big game, Bill Starshine, I have drawn this background of a diner on planet Foora. I drew this by hand, scanned in it and then colored and cleaned it up. I haven't done any shading yet but I will make that later.

I would like some critics on this, both good and bad. If you wonder what those orange things are, it's just a futureatic design that is popular on planet Foora and the lamps are also popular design items. And just want you to know, the cushion-chairs at the disk are attached to the floor. And the black space is for the SCUMM interface.

CJ: I don't know which Beta version since Jimi have showed me the download link. Yes, it does happen when I hit the "next" button.

Archangel: Is that actually a good idea? I don't want to loose the stuff I have in my PC.

If you need sounds for the R2-units, I have some R2D2 sounds in my PC.

I have encountered a bug in 2.55 version of AGS. When you start a new game and after you get to name the game folder the PC say: " The program have executed a forbidden action and will be shut down." and it shuts down.

The info for this is something like this:
AGSEDIT caused an invailid side-error in

Could anyone undo this error, I mean I can't start any new games thanks to this. Please help. By the way, am I alone about this?

If you need more info on characters, aliens, droids, spaceship and stuff you can go to www.starwars.com, they have lot of info on characters, aliens droids and so on, from the old movies as well as the new ones.

General Discussion / Re:Best Humour

My humor taste is mixed. I like classic cartoon humor, absurb humor, some Python (but those with blood makes me sick), some adult humor (like South Park), American humor, Swedish humor (I am swedish, and it's quite funny some times, especially if it's Robert Gustafsson), some English humor and of course humor from the MI-series, Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle (haven't played Sam and Max yet).

Before the guys coming here and complain and dirt around, I'll tell you that it depends on what you want. If you can make a game in 3D, you have to do something that will satisfy the players, like making something revolutionary or something like that. You can do great things for 3D but it's harder to make polygon-characters rather than pixel-characters. You need to have a great skill in programming since those software programs are mostly not easy like AGS, if you can't make script-commands in that way of course. It's mostly up to YOU as a gamecreator for if it's worth to you. For myself, if I get a lot a of experience and uses my wit to create good story and good puzzles fitting for 3D rooms, it's all worth it, especially if others like it. As long there are no easy way to make 3D games, it's going to be tough. I think that people rather make 2D games is because it's a lot easier and less complex. Like it's much faster and easier to make a sprite of a character or object in Paint or Photoshop than making a full detailed 3D-character in a 3D-making program. But never get discouraged! Even if there have only been 2 3D adventure-games out, which the first one (Grim Fandango) where a big success and the second one (Escape from Monkey Island), which were less success with different opinions (seems simliar to Star Wars episode 1, doesn't it?), it doesn't make that 3D games are total crap. It depends on skill, fantasy, creativity and experience if you make good and bad things, like a 2D adventure game. And you guys: Read this and think over before you decide, or you are a bunch of pencilnecks (sniggers).
