Darth-Mandarb, the force is with you.  ;) But there is some things that I wonder. Will Boba Fett appear in the game? How are you going to make the music simliar to John Williams? I mean, it's quite tough to do it without a whole classical-music orcestra and if you are going to get one, you may pay through the nose to make them do it. Also it wouldn't be possible to convince John Williams without him expected to be payed, I mean, he is very good at conducting (he made music to a lot for movies, not only to Star Wars 1, 2, soon 3, 4, 5 and 6 but also Jaws and the Indiana Jones movies (some other movies maybe, I don't know) so he is very good at conducting. I wonder also, what kind of aliens will appear? I would like to see dugs (Sebulba from Phantom Menance is a dug), gungans (not a clumsy one like Jar-Jar even if I liked him), Wookies, Hutts, Twi-leeks (Those who have head-tails), kaminoians and those aliens that is Greedo's kind (you know, the guy who got shot by Han Solo in the Cantina in Mos Eisley). I'm seeing foward to this. May the force be with you.

I think Squinky's the best.

Looks great but Elaine doesn't have an eye-patch. Those boxes behind her is a bit weird formed. Otherwise very good.

Thanks bspeers-o-matic for the suggetions. I have come up with a puzzle now. You will be in the credits for Special thanks.  :D

I was planing that you should get a robot arm from a junk-pile in Professor Nut's lab and then trade another robot the arm for a blowtorch but then thought it was too easy. Hmmm... maybe. I don't know yet.

The water god looks a bit weird. However it looked good and very good shading. But somehow it reminds me of T-shirts of  Heavy metal band and that sort of bands. How come that the water god have tentacles and why doesn't it have a human shape like the sky god?

Hmm... it's not the droid itself that needs to be repair, he needs (yes DX22 is a he, he hates to be reffered as it or that) the blowtorch to repair a spaceship that is broken. What a want help with is coming up a clever puzzle (but not too hard since it's just beginning of the game) to get a blowtorch. You know talking to guys, get stuff and interact stuff with some things and so on. I can't come up with any ideas of how to get a blow-torch I want to have a short serie of puzzles to get it, like you do to get the Idol from Governor's mansion in Secret of Monkey Island. That type of puzzles. Have I made myself clear?

Oh come on! Please! Help me! I beg you guys! I really need your help. So be some sports and help, please? Guys?

There are some things the next version should have (if it is not too much trouble). Like acess to the Verb Coin room and other GUI rooms. Also, should be able to acess to the Beginners place (whatever it was named again), media wing and that mysterious door. Maybe the demo could have the way to program how to switch to other characters (like in Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle).

I'm planning for the next big game Bill Starshine but I have got stuck in thinking of one of the puzzles. At somewhere of the first part you need to find stuff to the repair-droid DX22 and one of them is a blow-torch. The locations so far are Professor Nuts and Assistant Dunno's Lab, a bar, a main-street, a shop, a ware-house, a casino, the casino's office, outside ware-house, outside Lab, the Spaceship location and two or three outside places between the city, the Lab and the Spaceship. Could someone help me thinking of a good puzzle that is not too tricky but not too easy either. I don't have come up with all iventory items yet so it's okay that you come up with some stuff. Note that it's on another planet and the year is 2378, so think some stuff that is future like but some 20:th and 21:th stuff can work out. Well, good luck.

Thanks. The error is fixed. The game will be ready soon. Very soon.

Now I got another error while testing. This time it was a "AnimateObject: invalid loop number specified".

The Script is:

MoveCharacter(BOOGIE,96,141);
if (GetGlobalInt (8)==1){
ChangeCharacterView(BOOGIE,21);
AnimateCharacter(BOOGIE,1,0,0);
Wait(20);
SetObjectView(1,15);
AnimateObject(1,15,0,0);
Wait(80);
ObjectOff(1);
SetGlobalInt(2,1);
ChangeCharacterView(BOOGIE,3);
}
else {
DisplaySpeech (BOOGIE,"Me no pyromaniac");
}

I have tried with a Wait command and changed back the animation speed back to 0 (I changed it to 2 to make it slow down) but it doesn't work. Do you know what's wrong?  ???

That's okay. I'm very satisfied with the final version. I don't really think she looks like teen. Maybe I could widen her skirt a bit. But I wait with that until I have done her other veiws and the other things for the game, Hawaiian Treasure.

Hey, I'm sorry for being rude. I have been stuck with this game quite awhile and it's so little left before it's completed. It's my very first game which I have worked with for months and it's not a long game. Please help me out.

It's really cool Neole. There's nothing wrong with it. It really look like the Asterix comics. How about color it (just suggestion)?

Very funny. I meant the stone itself, not our all-time favorite cartoon family. Please help me and stop joking or my game will never be finished.  >:( :(

I have encountered a strange error while tested my game. In this situation the main-character will light a fire with a flintstone. There will be an object vinsible (which appears when you have used an iventory item on another hotspot and because of a global int you must have done this first), an animation of the character and then the animating of the object. When I test the game it do the character animation but then an error appear that say there are no veiws for it but there is a veiw.

Here is the script for it:

//script for hotspot5: Use iventory on hotspot
MoveCharacter(BOOGIE,96,141);
if (GetGlobalInt (8) ==1){
ChangeCharacterVeiw(BOOGIE,21);
AnimateCharacter(BOOGIE,1,0,0);
Wait(20);
SetObjectVeiw(1,15);
AnimateObject(0,0,0,0);
ObjectOff(1);
SetGlobalInt(2,1);
}
else {
DisplaySpeech(BOOGIE,"Me no pyromaniac.");
}

What is wrong with this then?

Rincewind, thanks for updating the front for Naomi, she looks more better this way, and thanks for drawing the shoes foward. It's quite hard for me to draw shoes or feet in front like that on both male and female characters.

I have come back from Spain and I'll try to fix the Naomi side veiw and also make her from behind.

QuoteBut now she looks a bit too young, maybe the hips should be a bit wider - she shouldn't look down and she should smile a bit more

Is she really too young? I didn't noticed. Naomi is suppoused to be almost as old as I am (I have become 20 about yesterday). But wider hips? To be logical (I think) you really can't she those because she wears a shirt but maybe you're right. I don't really know if she should smile. In the game she is keeps getting tracked down two men who want her because she have a secret about a treasure which she needs to find and in which I (yes, I'm the main-character in the game Hawaiian Treasure) have to find. If you compair with early adventure games like Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle, most characters dont have smiles on their faces so I didn't mind about that Naomi doesn't smile but if you guys thinks it's necessary then I'll fix it.

There is still lot to do before I can show screen-shots but forunitly for you guys I have got some pics of different localations in game. Like some parts of the hotel I'm living in during my vacation.

And also on a place for boat-cruises

And this is the map of Molokai, which works like in Secret of Monkey Island, LeChuck's revenge and The Curse of Monkey Island. The bad news is that the map won't appear in the demo but don't worry it will appear in the full game.
