Ok, I might get flamed for this, but I have a question...

Back in the ol' days, when AGS was a DOS-only program, there was a feature called graphic scripts, which was basically drag and drop srcipting. While it may have slowed the game down sometimes, (or so Im told, I neve noticed anything, and my pc is only about 900mhz), it was a lot easier to script things, and you could still get fancy with it.

Is there any chance a new release or something could implement these again? I still think it was a great way to get the feet wet into text scripting, and rewriting all of my old graphic scripts into normal scripts is a serous pain the arse.

Am I being unresonible? any chance for a one-shot deal, with a windows version of AGS with graphic script capibilities?

Lucusarts is still the only comp that still sells its old games. Seirra is on a case-by-case-baisis actually. I have written them before, and have gotten premission via emails to "go ahead and download this, but dont come crying to us if it doesnt work or screws up your pc". Robin Hood and Freddy Phraskis (sp?) fall into this catagory.
Really. All you got to do it ask.
I'm curious to know ho wmuch dough LC makes off MI, sam and max, etc...enough to keep selling them I suppose

I'm working on it tho...Im going to brazil in a year to see my family, and I need to be able to communiate.

uh...I dunno if this is gonna work LGM. Dont these programs have scholarships or something?

seems kinda weird to ask us for money. Also, you could get a local coperation to sponser you...thats what the kids from brazil and japan who came here using simliar programs did.

question: will there be a place where we can post "for your consideration" ads like last year, in a last ditch atempt to pimp lesser known games? what forum would that go?

yeah, thats true. In brazil and such, they call themselves americans.
I imagine that folks from the US are called americans, b/c they have the word america in the name of the country, which I do not think appears formally in any other countries name. (other nations haves states, mexico, brazil, etc. but as far as I know, the word america only appears in the USA)

you're right gold, and Im sure that everyone here, be they yanks, brits, aussies, what have you, will try to keep this in mind

while this is exactly on topic, we were talking about about the spread of McDonlads and globalazation...

did you know that no two nations that both had a McDonalds have ever gone to war? I suppose that having a McDonalds represents that a country has abtained a certain amount of weath and such, that makes going to war undeseribile.

So, I guess there are some advantages to having one around :)

sometimes, with all of the globalazation in the world, and the american bussiness that are worldwide, us less cultured folk might forget which ones are only in the us :)

just play play play man. Im in a few bands, that are halfway sucsessful, and I think one of the great advantages I've had when starting out is that I can play all sorts of music, and am willing to play almsot everywhere, anywhere. Im not looking to make a living at it, and I dunno if maybe you are...

but play man. Dont turn down gigs, no matter how dumb they are. just work on your stuff, develop a sound, and enjoy

what kind of music are you playing? I seem to remember you played blues guitar...
#134
omfg! I'm been blacklisted Im sooooo scared!
Lighten up man. we do stuff like this all the time here, dont get your panties tied up in a knot. If you have to be so defensive about everything, people arent going to play your stuff, and your games, no matter how good/bad they are, will rot on in the underbelly on the internet.

Trust me man. I've been down that road.

haha, I wouldnt call vel a professional anything :)

only kidding vel.

I downloaded the demo, and I too am confused. (I am of course, speaking of the lusucfan demo)

if what you said is true, that it isnt yours, then can we lock this thread or something, until you can show us something that you can certify is yours?

not meaning to be an ass actually, just confused

how would we pick up kat and kim? would that air on bbc or something? I know for at least the states, the only channels we can get outside the US (and only if we buy expensive packages) that I know of are bbc and telemundo....with the odd european soccer match on some english sport channel.

I fall into the same boat as rich. I'm a brasilian american, (mom was born and raised there), and while SHE speaks portuguese fluently, and at home quite often, I only know a few words....so I guess I wouldnt really count

Iqu: I think coupling lasted about 5 shows here. People thought it was too racy to be shown on NBC. Provo and South Bend (home of BYU and Notre Dame) refused to even show the show. controversy insued, and the bad publicy, along with cricts destroying the show, caused it to be cut.

DG, I also watch Monk sometimes. Its the only program my mom ever watches, (ok, that, and the one about the detective who has that huge mustache...perot maybe?) and I always end up needing her while she's watching it.

Me:Mom?
Mom: not now dammit! monk!
me: oh. *goes to watch monk*
