1. Where the hell is Hatton Cross?

Piccadilly Line, just before / after Heathrow Airport Terminal 1,2,3

2. I think the pier that burnt down was Southend Pier.  It was a dump anyway.  Populated by Boy Racers, Chavs and Junkies and Slags.  It's like a convention for baseball cap wearers.

Lol!

3. 2p Machines rock.  It's like Vegas for cheapskates and pensioneers.

But, the question is, which one is CJ????
#123
OCP?

Very Nice!  There was an earlier topic relating to this but people hadn't bothered with screenshots:

QuoteNobody wanted to say what time they were going to go, so we went ahead and booked, we'll be in Brighton at 12:10pm.

Ok, then I'll aim to get there at about the same time, so Matt if we plan to leave Staines at 11:00 is that good with you?

I'm good for 11:00 - it looks like the roadworks have moved on from Sunny Staines now, but give us a ring if you need me to direct you in.

QuoteSo what'ya wanna do on Saturday night?

Well, I've never been to Brighton, but can I say "2p machines"?? Also, is Brighton the pier that burnt down a few months ago?

As for the night time, if you guys could show us the local highlights that'd be stupendous.

It's been a while since I've been to Brighton - Is it like Blackpool without the Northerners?  :P

I'm with CJ, a few drinks, a look around and a good time - like Brittens without the tents!

We're going all the way by bus, via London, this was the cheapest way.

Ah, ok.

So does the current rollcall look something like this:

AGA - Via Coach
Scotch - Via Coach
CJ - Car
Me - Car with CJ
Spleen - TBC, but hopefully Car with CJ
M0Ds - TBC ??
Yutzster - Already there
Andail - Already there

Chris, the roadworks seemed to have moved on from Staines - I'll PM you a map to mine tomorrow, if you're still good to pick me up.

It's all very exciting innit?  :D

Nobody wanted to say what time they were going to go, so we went ahead and booked, we'll be in Brighton at 12:10pm.

So I you and AGA now heading direct to Brighton, or is Chris really accurate with his driving??
#128
Are you sure Chris, cos I honestly don't mind coming to you?  ;) ;D

I'm right on top of the M25, so I'll keep an eye out for any news regarding roadworks (I know the expanding the whole things, as it's not quite big enough, and that sometimes means they close or limit the junction near me).

If Andail comes back with a thumbs up, I can bring a sleeping bag as well (don't like the sound of the creepy crawlies though - will need to assurances on that side of things...).

I'm good timewise as well (dependant on transportation of course  ;))

Starting to look forward to this - 18th / 19th March right??  ;)

Has googletalk got any sort of following on these boards??

If it's easier for you Chris, I can head into Victoria and meet up with AGA & Scotch if that's a viable plan?

We're going to get a Tube from Victoria to Hatton Cross, since that would avoid Chris having to drive into London.

Hell, that's even easier for me, I can just get a bus from Staines.  AGA, do you still have my mobile number from Brittens?  Easiest is probably if you text me when you're leaving Victoria, and I should be able to get to Hatton Cross by the time you guys arrive.

Andail,  sofas and floors are no problem for one night.  I hope I'm not leaving anyone out but the current numbers look like:

Andail
Yutzster
Scotch
AGA
Myself
Chris

In which case, if a couple of us bring sleeping bags, we could crash on your floor?  Would that be ok?  I certainly wouldn't want to kick you out of your own home (I'm saying this now, cos it might be different at 2:00am...)  ;)

Quote[raises hand].  I'm car trained and everything Chris!

Excellent, that's more than I can say for AGA!

It's a reccently aquired skill, I'll admit...

Quote
QuoteHmm, define "London area". Is the centre too far out of the way?

If by "the centre" you mean Victoria, then yes. If on the other hand you mean a tube station further out, such as Hatton Cross or Stanmore, it could certainly be arranged...

If it's easier for you Chris, I can head into Victoria and meet up with AGA & Scotch if that's a viable plan?

I haven't looked into these in any more detail yet, otherwise we will all have to sleep in the vertical at Andail's I guess  ;D

Big up the 18th! If anyone needs a lift from the London area you're welcome.

Ooh! Ooh!

[raises hand].  I'm car trained and everything Chris!

Do we want to run a 'roll call' for numbers of definites and maybes?
#133
I think I'm good for the 18th - will need to look into modes of transport first!
#134
Thanks Yutzster,

I'm just thinking of the practicalities of people travelling for 1 day - I know how much trouble it is to get home from london at the weekend, nevermind Brighton.

Personally, I don't mind spending the night in a B&B or Hotel, but then I know some people would be on a tigher budget, hence the Campsite / Hostel suggestion.

They're great Petteri, although I'm not sure I recognise everyone!

Mittens / Brittens meets Maniac Mansion - when do you think you'll have the game done by  ;) ;D ;D
#136
Yep, definitely coming - just waiting for the british contingent to decide what we're doing about flights, although knowing me, I've probably missed a memo, and everyone is already booked  ::)

I can't offer anyone a place to stay because the house I'm staying in

1) isn't mine
2) is very small
3) i don't like most of you

but i can entertain you with delightful tales of delight :)

Any campsites or hostels or hotels nearby?
#138
I'm up for a weekend in Brighton.

Are we thinking a Friday night to Sunday afternoon, or Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon?

Hehehehe :) Actually, did a hardcore AGS game ever get released? I remember wanting to cover that area originally but nowadays I'm not so interested. I'd still play a game of that nature - not because I want the simulated sex, but because I'm pretty open minded. Which AGS game features the most sex?? :P

So Kinky Island is no longer on the cards then?

:'(  ;D

Funny stuff! Looks like you all had a laugh :D IN THE COLD! HAHAHAHAHA

It's Wales; I hear they get poorer weather than Laleham.
