Khris, you're not the only one. I was going to say the exact same thing.

Also, I don't like the symbols at all. They don't really fit the overall style and could be more obvious too.

Otherwise, this looks really nice and promising, I'm looking forward to it.

Is that parser error directed to one of those two lines? I can't see a problem.

Could you show some more of your code? Maybe there's a mistake before or after the lines.

Create a GUI label (named Clock here) and put this in the rep-exec:

Code: ags

DateTime *dt = DateTime.Now;
Clock.Text = String.Format("%02d:%02d:%02d", dt.Hour, dt.Minute, dt.Second);


I've never used the daytime but that should work.

Wow, this looks great indeed, very Flashback-esque.

Another World (aka Out of this World) is one of my all-time favorites and inspires me a lot. Flashback was something else.. with more focus on jump'n'run elements and action. I found it a bit too boring after a while but it was cool nevertheless. Heart of Darkness was fun too but the story was crap and the game too childish.

I really these kind of games and I'm sure it's quite possible to mix platformer and adventure elements together to create something fun and unforgettable. I'm very displeased that developers so seldomly try out something innovative and mix genres together. Many old classics give perfect examples of great non-standard gameplay but few people dare to try something new (or old)..

Good luck with this, I'm quite interested how it will turn out.

There's always been a problem with alpha-channel GUIs on top of other GUIs. I don't know if there's a workaround or if the problem was even solved and I'm quite interested myself since I have to deal with that issue too..

Just don't use the built-in scoresystem and create a variable for each score you want to have..

You have to select the actual inventory area (marked by white borders), not the whole GUI.
