Where is the problem?

Just always use "any click" on the objects/hotspots/characters and then script something for the two possibilities left and right mouseclick.

Or you could do this...

Exactly.

Though windows in general is a mess, the startmenu and the folders/programs don't have to.

Okay, competition's over.

1st prize goes to Fyntax

2nd goes to BoG

3rd goes to abstauber

I'm glad you entered this competition and the entries are nice.

If this thread stays open I'll post trophies in the next few days...

InCreator, if you don't like the Windows XP start menu, just change it to classic (like windows 95)..
#2345
Cool, a third entry. Then I will make some trophies.

I didn't see a link in your post.  I could be utterly blind since no one has mentioned it yet:

Hehe, the picture is the link...  ;)

I really like that image, but use a background with less noise (the sky).

Hey, I once planned to make a fallout-like adventure too, no real post-apocalyptic games around here yet it seems..
#2348
Well, it is the nicest piece of art I admit, but I prefer the creative entries. But as I said I had problems with choosing the winners..
#2349
The main problem is that the knee of the leg in the back is much higher and isn't moving as much forward than the one in the front. That looks odd. Both legs should move similar. And I think the hands could be a bit larger. But I don't think the legs should have different colors.

Okay, time's up.

1st prize goes to Buckethead and his town.

2nd prize goes to Ultramagnus and his Funky Gangster Duck Pimp.

3rd prize goes to abstauber and his two angry guys. Funny idea  ;)

Oh, it was hard to choose once again. Ghost and spaceboy had some nice drawings there.

Okay, since Buckethead is absent, Ultramagnus has to start the next competition.

The site with your screenshots - imaxenes.com - doesn't seem to exist (anymore?)...

It's funny that your image-link-code isn't shown at all - I saw the code when replying with quote..

EDIT: Oh, you just updated it. Well, I see the screenshots.

I might have kinda misunderstood the first post I think, if you want it posed in a way that is sepparated from the picture in itself I can't do that right now, no time.

Sorry.

Well, it's okay. I wasn't looking for a sprite put into the image but rather a sprite that fits the image (regarding colors/style), but nevermind.

I really like that one.
#2353
I like it but Tuomas made a point there. It actually has to be a seperate sprite though it looks good in its environment.
#2354
Yeah, that's a very common mistake. For those who don't know: "To get" is "bekommen" in german.

In this forum I once wrote "Die variable" instead of "The variable", that must have seemed odd.

Honestly, I don't want any variable to die..

Sorry for rushing all your competitions, but I really need some drawing exercise and this teaches me a lot ;)

Hey, I'm glad you're entering, especially this one.

For me I didnt' know Max Ernst until this competition and his art is really worth seeing.

Shame on you!  ;)

Your sprite reminds me a bit of the Wild Things though it's much thinner.
#2356
Ah, right, the contest's over.

It was hard to choose since I liked both entries very much, but the 1st Place goes to evenwolf and his stickman's odyssee! Great effort and nicely animated.

Thanks to you both for participating (which becomes rare it seems) AND posting such good animations.

Evenwolf, choose the next theme.
#2357
Yeah, what monkey said.

But if you'll ever need several idle views for some reason: No, problem. Make another view and use the SetIdleView command..
#2358
Just played for a few minutes but I really like the style, the music, the sounds... and the DOTT-Font. Just one little thing (in the very first room): If you walk to the very bottom the character is drawn in front of the plants.

Well, that's it for now. I'll continue playing tomorrow.

This competitions really should be longer... maybe in a monthly format or something?

Yeah, I agree that a month would be an adequat period. It doesn't really make sense to start a competition every 11 days with no more than two entries each. A monthly competition with five or more entries would be much more enjoyable.

But I really don't know the rules here. Can the winner decide all the restrictions of the upcoming competition or does he have to adopt the time rules? I just did what Derboo did.

Well most weeks its just a single sprite.

But a (complex) sprite isn't necessarily easier to animate than a simple scene like this one.
#2360
What's up?

I really don't expect something extraordinary. I'll post some examples of what I had in mind. Of course, these would have to be sprite-like and some would need other colors :

Or look at these Final Fantasy sprites. There are some who would fit very well.
