Afaik that's just an urban legend :)

Yep.

But a number I would like to see, but that no news bulletins seem to care to report, is of those infected how many have now recovered.

According to german news almost 98.000 people recovered (marked in green, "genesene Patienten").

Until the truth finally comes out we may be talking out of our arses (me included)

The truth ist that the real name is CORVID-19, short for CORVIDAE-19 and that it's not a virus, but a gang of 19 crows!

I've also heard (and take this with a grain of salt, as with any through-the-grapevine info) that the number of deaths reported in Germany is so much lower than in other countries because it's considered that if you had a pre-existing condition and you catch coronavirus and die, your death is counted as being caused by your condition and not from the virus.

I think it mainly depends on who is being tested and who isn't. In Italy there are a lot of post-mortem-tests and people who had the virus but also other (lethal) conditions have been counted as corona-related deaths. In Germany it's different and a lot more younger (living) people have been tested.

The mortality rate differs a lot between countries. In Germany it's quite low, in Italy it's very high. In China there's a big difference between Hubei (where the virus originated) and the rest of the country, which leads scientists to believe that the virus might have mutated, and that there's a more aggressive and a less aggressive one. But it's all speculation and there isn't enough data.

The estimated number of unreported cases of corona infections is totally unknown too and probably varies a lot between countries. I think it's more about the missing knowledge about the virus and the insufficiently and differently exercised testing of people, rather than misinformation.

I'm concerned about all the asshole Hamsterkäufer leaving the rest of us without any supplies.

Yes, that is annoying. Two days ago when I went to buy groceries, it was quite crowded and most of the people jam-packed their shopping carts. A few days before that I couldn't get any toiletpaper.

Germany is reacting super slow though (Berlin clubs are being closed on Tuesday instead of right now because god forbid that people have their weekend ruined!), so let's see how this whole thing develops... (roll)

Well, as of yesterday evening bars and clubs are being closed in Berlin and any event with more than 50 people is prohibited.

Exactly. Thanks for the clarification  :)

Just to be sure:

Do you

A) want a "clean high resolution" game? Then use a high resolution.

B) want "clean high resolution" characters, but pixely backgrounds with low resolution, then do it like Khris suggested: Use a low resolution for your game, but a high resolution for your characters and scale them down.

Yes, there's no need to duplicate frames. Just set a delay for them.

I think the only one where I found the reverb a little heavy/distracting was the second track, maybe because there wasn't really a contrasting part that wasn't using so much reverb and it got quite busy.

Yes, I found that a bit heavy too, and also the second half of the first track. Other than that I really like them, and they definitely sound like game music  :)

Add a line to this part:

Code: ags

  // not already added:
  player.Say("In the bag it goes.");
  ingredient_added[found] = true;
  player.LoseInventory(ingredients[found]);  // <-- add this line

You have an animation with 270+ sprites?  8-0

it's kinda handy to avoid having to scroll down in the window and hold shift/mouse clicking

You don't need to hold down the shift key or mouse button. Just select the first sprite, then select the last sprite while pressing shift.

Well,
Spoiler
it was hinted at a few times that cancer man had augmented himself with alien DNA to be a "fast healer", so I can forgive that. He is Wolverine.

Spoiler
He got a missile shot in his face! With all his body parts lying around he must be a "fast healer" like the T-1000, not Wolverine.

You're welcome. I'm glad I could help  :)

By the way, how rating works for AGS games?

The people who make the game put in months of their lives to work on it and then sit twiddling their thumbs nervously waiting for the rating to come back

If the room with the book is just a background image you can easily replicate it with a screen-sized GUI that uses the same image.

I bookmarked this thread in 2018 and thought I commented too.. Anyway, I'm really glad that you're still working on it  ;-D

It's beautiful work and the new cutscenes ares great! I'm really looking forward to playing this one

Just a thought: It may be easier to have a (screen-sized) GUI showing the book instead of having to change the room each time.
