What?!?

That's the one single avatar that survived since I joined here in 2006.

That's not good news at all  :'(

That is horseshit! Besides the Christmas hat during the holidays, my avatar hasn't changed since I first joined!

True true. I owe you an apology, sir. You, Darth and of course Ponch! And SSH? Haven't seen him in a while..

And what of my cow? I've done over twelve variations of that very same cow since 2004. No love for my adorable little heifer?  :'(

Oh believe me, I love your little dancing cow and if it disappears I'll cry.

Still, that burning stickman... I'll miss him.

I use a 1024 x 25000 background (at a 1024 resolution) and it scrolls quite well.

Put the 'ignore' in the title  ;)

I just ate some noodles. Now I'm not hungry anymore.

Yes, actually, AA appears because of quick upscale in PS (I'm not still sure about the final sprite size I need), but still it shows up like this ugly white board only in GIF, otherwise it will merge smoothly with background.

First off, you need to upscale pixelated images using nearest neighbor to preserve the hard edges.

Secondly, you seem to use an alpha channel for the image. GIFs can't handle semi-transparent pixels, it will only use a single color for transparency. But since your piece is pixelart (and shouldn't have any transparent pixels) it shouldn't matter anyway.

So - scale it up properly or (better yet) give us the original image to work with. I'm still wondering about the pixel size, it seems you upscaled the image and then added the grey hair.

Why is the 'original size' awkwardly upscaled (thus having white outlines/AA)? And is it your intention to mix different resolutions (the white hair pixels are obviously smaller than the others)?

EDIT:

P.S. White borders are GIF imperfections.

Nah, they're scaling imperfections. The borders are smoothed out, thus altering the surrounding white.

Throw the gun* through the room for confusion purposes, then stand up and

a) if the door isn't blocked, go through it.
b) else: if the duct/shaft is low enough, climb up to the other side from where you came from
c) else: if it would suffice slam the computer monitor on the ground, stand on it and try again
d) else: throw the monitor at the monster

* Edit: or better what straydogstrut suggested

Better yet, make a translation for the game!  :D

I thought about that, but I think it'd be easier to just jump on the corpse.

Wow.. just wow! You are telling other people to grow up?

Quote
DoOnceOnly does not work. Documentation says it is not meant for that.

1. Both statements are wrong.
2. Why don't you tell us what exactly went wrong? Why don't you post any code? Why don't you ask how to use DoOnceOnly?

Not the same question at all.  Did you even read this thread, or just worry about rules.
Grow up.

This is from your other thread. Why do you act like Ryan did something stupid (or mean) while he actually pointed you to a thread that adresses your problem? Why isn't it the same question? Why don't you clarify what you're trying to achieve? Why don't you even bother to leave a single reply in that thread?

I am just a guy trying to make games.
I don't make them for anyone but myself.
A hobby.

Ah, do you think people are getting money from helping you? Do you think they have nothing else to do then helping beginners out?

Quote from: dbuske on Tue 19/07/2011 15:52:35
Now is the time to take action.

Yeah, take action: Grow up and act like you're caring about what people say to you or leave it be.

As I said, you could just use

player.Move
player.Walk
player.Say

If one of the cars is set as the player character, the views should already be correct, shouldn't they?

Etc..  This would apply to any car picked. This would mean i can just script for ccar.

You could just script using player. Or store the number of the currently used car character and use character[car]. Or you could change the way the name of the cars is displayed before the player chooses one.

I was wondering why you'd want to change the script-name of a character. I don't think that's possible.

Wow, right from the beginning I thought it was meant to look purple. It does look very alien indeed.

Except for the colors I think it looks quite cool and the walkways are well recognizable.
