Ascovel, we still haven't decided on how humanlike the harpy faces will be, but the overall design is set. We have some animations ready but didn't start to code the battle yet. Btw, the harpies will play a rather important role in the story, but I'm not going to spoil too much.

English is my first language. However I am only 16 and I am still uses to talking in a AIM way. I try to use different words and change my sentences so you all can understand me. But this sometimes fails.

You should go out more, talk to people from face to face.

We worked a lot over the last months and accomplished quite a few things. We quadrupled the size of the map, so that it's now scrolling and the player can't see everything at once. As we still need to redraw the whole thing (as it's now just resized), we can't present any screenshot.

We also finally have a rough plot for the game and decided to have a single-player storymode next to the standard arcade mode. In storymode there'll be special encounters/events and dialogs with several characters like this harpy:

Couldn't you just play a blocking stand-up animation in case the player clicks somewhere while the character is still sitting? If it's blocking the character won't start walking. You could then set variables for the coordinates the character is supposed to walk after standing up.

That's probably the most basic thing in AGS. Just choose "look at hotspot" in the events pane and the necessary function is created for you.

You could argue about the institution of marriage, and that would be a valid and perhaps interesting debate, but currently, most countries in the world, for whatever reason, recognise it in some form or the other.

Yeah, the problem is that marriage is institutionalized. Governments picking one single form of relationship, declaring it the way to go by making it something official and part of the law and handing out binding contracts to a couple in love - could there be anything dafter?

I hope that some day the idiocy of telling people how to live - by law - will have an end.
