Much, much worse.

Hear ye, hear ye! Ernil Pherianath wants you to know he has never had sex with Tim Schafer.

I used to think it was 3D, and that it LOOKED 3D, but I played it a while ago and... I don't know... it sort of looked like 2D 3D. Sort of like... I don't know...

EDIT: I'm having slight trouble articulating...

Where do you live?

I'm talking about (most of?) America, because of the situation in San Francisco at the moment.

General Discussion / Hurray for San Francisco!
Sun 22/02/2004 20:15:05
San Francisco (my future home and all that) has been in the news a lot lately. In case you're dumb, here's why; the Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, has defied the state law against Gay Marriages, and has allowed officials to hand out over 2,800 marriage licenses to gay couples in the past 10 days. San Francisco plans to take California to court on the grounds that the banning of Gay Marriages is unconstitutional.

To quote Arnie:

Quote"In San Francisco it is license for marriage of same sex. Maybe the next thing is another city that hands out licenses for assault weapons and someone else hands out licenses for selling drugs, I mean you can't do that,"

What the hell? First, Gay Marriages. Next, Machine Guns. Right. Maybe he means that a law is a law and shouldn't be broken. But to compare Marriage Licenses to Gun Licenses is at the very least, stupid.

It's not just the symbolism of marriage that Gay people are being denied; there are certain tax reductions and insurance benefits that only married couples can obtain.

So it may not be 'christian'. Does it not say in the bible to "Live according to the Sign of the Times"?

President Bush 'the monkey' Jr has called for a federal ban on Gay Marriages. That should not happen. The American Constitution says that people are entitled to live, to love, and to pursue happiness. Gays are pursuing happiness and love in their struggle to be equal members of society. It is unconstitutional to disallow this. They are entitled to right for their rights.

The American Constitution, and the bible itself, claims that all people are equal. But how can some people be more equal than others?

To the Christians that don't believe in gay marriages; consider that the bible instructs to live according to the sign of the times. Also consider that god made everybody equal, apparently, and it is not our place as mortals to judge others. It is not OUR decision whether a Gay Marriage is valid or not. All people are sinners according to Christian belief, and therefore Gay people are no more or less 'dirty' than the rest of us.

Of course, I'm agnostic. So my belief is based soley in human rights.

What do you think?

If your conscienceness was suspended in nothingness, how confused would your sense of time become with nothing to judge elapsed time on?

EDIT: Haddas, I'd think about love and happiness.

The Caped Crusader of Gotham City will always be Adam West in my mind. That show was how I envisage Batman. Not dark and grim.

I have heard a lot about the Batman Casting as a bunch of Irish people have been cast, and Ireland seems to think it's something cheer and wave and shout about, apparently forgetting that people are cast in movies every day of every week of every year.

QuoteThen, one of them, who's sitting opposite to me, is looking out of the window and saying nothing. I get this feeling I have seen her before. I start thinking where, but cannot remember. Then, one of the other girls clearly call her something like "Rusalka" or something... a name I don't recall ever hearing. (It might be my memory isn't working very well atm.) Then it just clicks. In the dream, I remembered where I had seen her...

That girl... was me.

Welcome to the twilight zone.

QuoteThe first couple of LD's are usually pretty short (eg:”oh wow! I'm dreaming!” Followed closely by “oh damn, I just woke up.”)

LOL!!!

A couple of things;

Sometimes, when I'm taking the train back home, it's very quiet and warm and dark on the train (Especially because it's winter and dark outside), and so I'll find it hard to stay awake when trying to work on a project or homework or study or whatever. Because I'm telling myself not to fall asleep, my brain starts trying to trick me or something, by filling my head with 'false reality'; ie I'll start to have some sort of a mini dream that I'm doing my homework, and the only reason I'll realize it's only a dream is when my pen starts flying or something, and then I'll jerk back to awakeness and realize I've scribbled all over my project work.

I used to be a lucid dream goddamn master, I swear to god. I had my own little world. It was so cool. I'm gonna start again, only this time, my own little world is gonna be in san francisco.

I'd love to know more about dreams. And especially recurring ones. I used to dream about my house, except it was completely different. It was always at nighttime, and I never went IN to the house. There was always a parking meter in the yard, but I don't know what was behind me because I never looked. There were bushes, and if you walked through the bushes you followed a pebble path down to a pebble beach. This scene, I know, it a combination of a place I visited as a little girl and my home today. But the relevance of the two together? Maybe I'm thinkin' I wanna go back to being a little girl or something, because never ONCE did the thought occur to me to go in to my (present) house. In fact, it didn't even look like you COULD get in to it if you TRIED.

The pebble beach scene is from when I was about 5 years old and lived in London. Our dad had bought a new car, and he'd gone to some sale halfway across the country for it so when he got back it was really late. He woke us up and we all got into this (white) car and drove to an arcade, and then stopped at Little Chef (Hey, I work there now!), and then it was about midnight when we stopped at a pebble beach, the exact one from my dream. We must have drove pretty damn far considering I lived in London. And then I think we went to an airport to see the planes come in, but that could have been another night.

Hmm, hmmmm hmmmmm?

I love dreams. This thread is gonna kick ass. I've been reading everybody elses dreams and trying to imagine them, too.

Woa-ah, did I ever tell you about this one dream I had...

Okay, at the time I'd started taking the train to school every day. If I miss the train, that's it; I'm stuck hundreds of miles away from home and the next train isn't until late that night. So I started getting a lot of bad dreams about missing the train.

This one dream I had, school was over and it was dark already because it's winter. I waited for a friend to get her books and stuff before we set off to the train station, but I could only walk that annoying DREAM walk, where it feels like you're trying to push through water. When I eventually got to the station the train had pulled out. So I walked back down to wait in my school for the next train. I forget what happened then, I think my mother came on the next train, and we were both walking up to catch the train back to waterford when I noticed a huge building I'd never seen before. This big flashing Logo said, "SIERRA", and then this man walked past and asked me a question in french. I responded in perfect french, and I think he said that they were looking for people in Sierra. I applied for a job (seemingly forgetting that my mother was there and we had to catch a train, WAY to get sidetracked!) and was sitting waiting for the interviewer.

So I started messing around on this laptop, and the interviewer was on AIM, and I'm all like, "Oh, er, hi!" and he's all, "Okay, I'll be in in a minut to interview you, just gotta sort this paperwork" or something, and I'm all, "Okay." so then he walks in and it's Tim Schafer, working for Sierra, interviewing people for jobs.

I think I woke up at that point. Analyse that.

And while you're analysing it, bear in mind I despise Sierra, and I have no idea what my mother was doing at my school but it seemed normal, and Tim Schafer working for Sierra?! Was this some sort of nightmare?!

Has anybody ever gained the ability to control your dream? You can actually become concious inside of a dream. I can do this sometimes. I used to be able to do it all the time, to the extent that one day I 'woke up' inside my dream and told myself, "Okay, you're going to try sleepwalking. First, move your arm!" and after a couple of minutes that felt like I was trying to shove a ton weight, I woke up after slapping myself on the face.

Dreams are fun!

Hee hee hee...

Does anybody remember when BBC used to do April Fools jokes? Like once they reported that a truck carrying dehydrated water pills someplace had crashed, and upon being exposed to air the 'dehydrated water pills' had exploded and flooded a small village...

And I think they reported that a dinosaur was attacking the BBC headquarters or something and they had a man running around in a dinosaur costume in the background... people actually phoned in to complain because they'd been scared...

Yes, I would show that to all the kindergarten students in the world if I had the chance. I don't know about anybody else, but that's the subliminal message that I feel the Tellytubbies are sending out. I'm there watching tellytubbies with my little sisters one morning, and I swear to god they're all on the verge of an orgy or something, but nobody else seems to notice...

EDIT: Ha haaaahaaaa.... I showed it to my five year old sister, and she didn't even blink at the end. I asked her what her favourite part was and she said, "Abcd" and I said, "And what happened after Abcd?" And she said, "E".

Woooah, last night I dreamt that the sea was in our back garden, and that it was really awesome, and then the tide went out and it was just like one enormous puddle in our garden, and then it sucked, and the neighbours tide didn't go out, ohhh no... and their water was all warm and clear.

Which is sort of odd because, I don't have a neighbour.

And then my dad built this thing to stop us from going too far out into the water and I just jumped over it because he's some sort of control freak.
