That doesn't make the game suck, it just makes you stupid.  ;)

But I didn't like Loom either. Probably because I only got around to playing it two years ago, and it's so hard to get into those old games nowadays unless you played them before.

Robert Eric told me about his plan for AGS Community Domination while we were having evil, antagonistic sex one night.
#1263
No, but I hate you. Does that count in any way?

I can't get the music for Escape from Delirium to work. I tried playing it again today because I knew it would come up on this list. Does it even HAVE music?

And how long is it? I never really got very far.

I was thinking more about that article in AGSzine. The one where you made an asshole of yourself again covered tricks and cheats to lengthen your game. Like for example, Pixel-Hunting and Non-Skippable Text.

But that was then. I guess everybody is allowed to change their mind. Like, for instance, how I change my mind yesterday.

Vel has unusual ideas of what makes a game good.

Yes, er... Dave Grossman.

I always, always make that mistake. I mean, Dave Grossman, Ron Gilbert... Ron Grossman, Dave Gilbert...

Although Day of the Tentacle is a sequel of Maniac Mansion, they're two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT games. Maniac Mansion allows death, walking deads, multiple ways to solve puzzles, etc. Maniac Mansion was designed by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

Day of the Tentacle was made a few years later, and the graphics were infinitely better. It was a lot different, from the humour and style to the fact that there were voices and better animation/graphics and music. It was designed by Tim Schafer and Dave Gilbert. There were no walking deads and no ways you could die.

The only thing that remained the same throughout both games was the fact that they were set in the same mansion and shared the character 'Bernard' and also the tentacles.

In case you're interested, a television show was made based on Maniac Mansion, and it ran for two seasons from 1990 - 1992. It starred the Edison Family, and I'm not sure if Bernard or the others were in it.

I remember reading one story where he was about to tell that Ian... or was it Betty?... his name, and he said, "Okay, my name is..." And then a DALEK came in.

Not very interesting trivia: When I was six, I called Daleks, 'Garlics'.

Also, as regards copyright... well, George Lucas and Steven Spielburg use the whole Indy concept, and Screen 7 haven't reproached them for it yet, so I'd say you're safe.ish.

George Lucas specifically told writers for the Indy Series not to involve certain parts of Indys history, in case they ever decided to incorporate those areas into a movie.

Yes, Ultimo... AGS is not made through consistent hard work and intelligence... it comes from the heart.

Apparently, in the new movie.... rumour would have it he has a brother. Apparently that's part of the reason George wanted the script 'polished' again. Hmm.

If that's true... what would you all make of a Brother for Indy? I don't think I'd like it, if it involved being a long lost brother or something... and probably they'd incorporate lots of wholesome family bickering in it, basically recycling a lot of Last Crusade...

They never mentioned a brother in any of the Young Indy series, or any of the movies. Hm.

See, another reason I suspect they would give him a brother is because Harrison Ford is kinda old, so the attraction of the movie to the younger female population would be diluted. By adding a 'hot young star' such as Ben Affleck they'd be increasing the movie's pulling power immensely.

And I don't like Ben Affleck.

If Chris dies suddenly, I shall inherit his vast, vast estate and such, without need for a lengthy divorce battle. I think we would all benefit, quite frankly.
