Ghandi, I lost all respect for you when you allowed yourself to be led out into the Special Olympics by Bono 'U2' Fuckerface.

But let's pretend that never happened, because on this forum we follow very very strong principles of Love and Forgiveness, and although we may judge you for everything you ever do, the important thing is that we will never tell you, but we'll talk about you behind your back, so your feelings won't be hurt.

Welcome to AGS Forums.

Well the competition is in a few hours so you'd have to be superman to do this...

It's 12:30am here... I'm up again and off to the competition at 6:00am precisely...

The songs are these (Not my choice of songs!!!)

It starts off with ...

Linkin Park: Crawling. The first 50 seconds plays, but instead of going in to the rest of the song it should go into ..

Chordettes - Mr Sandman. It should start from about 1minute 37s into this song, including the piece where mr sandman says, "Yesssss?" preferably... and include the end of the song, since it's near the end anyway.... at which point it brings us to...

A Song Of Your Choice!!! But it has to be really scary and end on a really scary note, and say, last for about 30 seconds, and preferably have some sort of lyrics like, "Sleep tight!" or "DIEEE!" or something. For the finale.

So all in all it lasts nearly 3 minutes. I don't have these songs but they ARE available on Kazaa. The version of Mr Sandman should preferably be the Chordettes version. If you could incorporate Murrays (the demonic skull) evil laugh into the beginning of the song, while Linkin Park is playing, that's a plus.

If anybody can do this in the time given, you're obviously a genius, and on broadband hi-speed.

6:00am!!! :(

I'm not feminist, I just hate wearing skirts to school...

But anyway! I give up. Screw this. I need one of you to do this for me. I can tell you exactly what songs you needs and how long each part plays, and what part plays. I can't bally well do it.

So, anybody want to do this? All I can say is that I will really, really appreciate it.
#1404
Hm. Okay, I'm gonna try to do this myself, because after all, what could possibly go wrong? I just have to cut/paste a couple pieces of music together, right?

Anybody recommend some pieces of software that might help me?

Okay so we have this eeeeensy weeensy problem.

There's a dress design competition at school. So we have the dress, and we have the model, and we have the dancers, and we sort of have the music. That is to say, we have the music we're using, but we need to remix several songs into one short, three minute version.

We need it by tomorrow MORNING, and we're pretty stuck because, even though we're all awesome and cool, we're not quite sure how to work this whole 'music program' thing. So if there are any suckers nice people out there that want to volunteer to help us er... us lovely ladies... well, I guess we'd be best friends forever. All you need to do is stick three or so songs together in an MP3 and send it over this way.

(suckers!)

P.S. I just realized I started the last three threads and now I feel kinda lousy. Oh well!

You selfish bastard.

Yeah, I think I mentioned how awesome Trape's songs are before. Also, CJ goes without saying in all threads of this nature. Obviously.

Sorry 'bout using your real name but it says it on the songs, and I couldn't for the life of me think of your forum name.

Hm.

I got a few pieces of music here from Marcus Krupa... I forget his name on these forums. But I really, really like his music.

I just wondered what other music he's done... I know I've seen a few games with music by him, but I can't remember for the life of me.

The particular piece I'm playing over and over again is actually an entry to a tune competition from last week.

What games has he done music for? And maybe if there's somebody from the AGS community that you think does particularly good work, or should be mentioned, you can do it in this thread, because it's always nice to do things like this, just so people know their work doesn't go unnoticed or what have you.

Like if you think somebody is particularly helpful or maybe somebody who is a really good character animator, just mention it here.

I got the idea from a religion retreat which I didn't go on, but heard about. Everybody on the retreat was asked to sit in a circle and say one thing they liked about every person sitting in that circle, even if they didn't like them. But the thing had to be true, and it could be either a personality thing or a skill or whatever.

So yeah, Marcus Krupa. Awesome Music.

I think there's been a mistake. I don't see Tim Schafer on that list.

I demand you put Tim Schafer on that list. Wasn't there supposed to be a "Best Tim Schafer in the field of Tim Schafers"? I'm sure there was. You should make a category for Tim Schafer.

InCreator,

Can I have you phone number?

Here, I have some eyeliner that you can write it on my hand with.

Can I see something you modelled more recently?

Not to mention the End of MI2 and the Secret of Monkey Island.

Dudes, face it! Guybrush was a kid all along!!!

That's exactly why I need an XBOX port, see? Because I have no PC! So I can't play AGS games on my PC, but I CAN download them on to my PC to play them on the XBOX, which I DO have!

Do you see the genius in that?
#1413
I think an Xbox Port would be most excellent! I don't have a PC, or know how to use one, so getting AGS games is difficult for me. An XBOX port would:

1. Allow me to download an AGS game on my PC
2. Use various lengths of wire to transfer it to the XBOX
4. Allow me to play the AGS games on my XBOX, since I don't have a PC

Okay.

I have no idea what is wrong with your game.

Can you provide Screenshots? I'd be very interested.

I sent away the link to this thread and your details to LucasArts so they can see if perhaps they recognise the problem.

I think what she was trying to say was that in the days of old, people had to be quite wealthy to own a computer, and the type of people that played games tended to be loners and geeks, but now computers are cheaper and games are a more widely accepted form of home entertainment... or something like that.

Except it all came out wrong.

Hilariously wrong.

P.S. Somebody recently threw an entire arm and leg to me, so I will willingly give an arm and a leg if anybody can find that site I was talking about.
#1416
Dude, I think she's trying to say we were smarter back then.

OMM hasn't been updated in maybe two years. I only recently found it, in its current defuct state, and discovered the absolute joy that is OldManMurray.com.

But they are still alive. I think one of them is still serving prison time for murder, while the other works at Double Fine Productions!

I found this out by stumbling across a website now owned by either Erik or Chet that used to post on OMM, and he mentioned how he was starting his new job at Double Fine tomorrow, and then a while later posted on what to do if you DON'T want a job as a Character Animator... fill your portfolio with pictures of SCENERY!! Something like that.

But I lost the URL.

In other news... I really want this book.

Would you prefer to use a mouse to play GTA?

You can't say you'd prefer a mouse interface without even knowing the way in which I'd be implementing it. That's lame. That's like spitting in the face of innovation, except replace 'innovation' with the words 'A Keyboard Control System' and 'Spitting in the face of' with 'Saying you don't like'.

Just because you think you might not like something, doesn't mean you shouldn't try it out just in case, because you never know.

Goddamn you bastards anyway. Are you happy that I have to do all this shit on my own now? You know, it's still not too late to throw in a helping hand and write the entire thing for me.

But fine. Fine.

I'll do it myself.

I'll talk to you in like, 500 years, maybe?!

I could work on an Irish translation, just for the novelty value of it! YUFSTER@YAHOO.COM!!!!

#1420
I am too tired to read or comprehend anything that you just said, but I am fairly certain that you just stated the reason that Old Man Murray ridicules that very statement every ten posts.
