Awesome picture, Yak.

But here is a question for you all.

Does it really matter?
#1442
See 'it', Vel. One. Singular.
#1443
Now seems to be a fitting time to tell Vel I have like two backgrounds done, and he needs a new artist already.

But that's because I'm going to be fired when he see's them.

EDIT: Whoops, recount. There's one.

Damn, your old artist must have sucked. The sun, pink? What the?!

What next? Bedouin in California!?

Jaz, you're a hero of the AGS forum, you know that?

Okay, I'm not too sure how to spell this, so my teacher always said that if you don't know how to spell something, you should spell it FO-NET-IC-ALI. So I'm gonna give this my best shot. I'll probably look really dumb, but  my teacher warned me about that too.

VAKCLAV HAVE-EL RULES!

I don't really have any idea what I just said, as I was repeating my mother business associate.

Peace out!

I don't drink. I extract water and nutrients from food which I eat. Such as strawberries.

For 1000 (Or more precisely, 2) reasons, Grim Fandango. Pure Excellence.

MI2 close second, along with DOTT, Full Throttle, MI1 andddd... FOA, which I only played recently and loved.

Yes... not all of us are from America...

General Discussion / Anybody speak Czech?

I know this review isn't gonna be too kind, and maybe I am best off NOT knowing what it says, but... Oh man, now I've gone and aknowledged its existence and I can't ignore it or curiousity will eat away at me. So can anybody translate this Goddamn Czech Article on BR for me?
#1450
You know, I'm being totally hypocritical here, seeing as BR fell fault to this... but I think more serious games should be released. There are too many games with zany, wacky plotlines. It's not like they shouldn't be funny; Grim Fandango had a serious enough plotline and was extremely funny at the same time. The humour just came from a different source. It came from the character interactions with each other, as apposed to their surroundings and inane behaviour and inability to perform the requested tasks.

I would love to see more serious plotlines for AGS games, and more stories based on folklore or non-european stories, counties, etc.

And I find it interesting (If relieving) nobody has tried a Grim Fandango sequel... (Except maybe Lucasarts, but time will tell...)

Yes, smartass, but first you have to press F to turn ON keyboard fighting and then you have to find the keys for it, which is probably fine when you have the MANUAL, but when you ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD the game, like I did, you don't GET a fucking manual, DO you, SMARTASS?
#1452
Huh. Here are some more things I hate.

Pixel Hunt Puzzles, in the fucking pitch darkness, you sons of whores. What, do you get some kick out of that? Is this some sort of sexual fetish? I mean, pixel hunting is one thing, but on a completely black screen, that's sadistic. You're sadistic. God, I hate you all. Examples of these puzzles are The Tunnels at the end of MI2, which I didn't mind so much because it added to suspense... but god DAMNIT, the Dig Site in FOA, what the HELL was that for?!

Fighting sequences that involve clicking the mouse on the enemy to throw a punch, like every single fight sequence in FOA.

Puzzles that revolve around revolving stones with pictures on them, like in FOA.

I hate linear gameplay.

Well, speaking as somebody who does a lot of travelling, I think I would love the idea of games like this on your mobile. It's not like you even have to think before you bring your phone with you, so it's going to be pretty handy if you're bored. A game like the old Sierra ones (Although I don't actually think they'd be the best choice) would be great fun. Even games like Pokémon on your mobile would be fun.

Hell, I'm all for it!

Just as long as they don't start packaging them as "Hand Held Portable Game Devices that are also PHONES!!!". They would be useful because they are on your phone, not because your phone is on a gaming device.

there are a lot of fear names i do not know. only fags know the stupid doctor name for all of them. it is dumb to say "blahblahblahphobia" because it is longer and dumber than to just say "fear of whatever." sometimes i get all tecnicel and say "the superfriends will be affected with cowphobia!!!" it goes over every bodys head and solomon grundy is all "SOLOMON GRUNDY NOT KNOW WHAT COWGLORBIA MEAN! SOLOMON GRUNDY CRUSH COWGLORBIA!" and i'm like "it's the fear of cows reTARD". So now I just say "fear of cows" because they are all so stupid about fear sience. cows like me because i am made out of cow food.

Hahaha!!!

The name of Rusalka creates a very versatile and creative nature. You are quick-minded and have the freedom of expression to mix easily with people.

Woo!

QuoteBecause your feelings and desires are so changeable, you are never satisfied with conditions as they are. You have many ideas, plans, and ambitions,

This is so true!!! Although I call it, "Obsessive". Oh, and dude... the Skirts Issue!

Quotebut too often they are for an easy way out of a difficulty or an easy way of making money.

Two Words. Beyond. Reality.

QuoteYou seek change in order to have the opportunity for travel, new experiences, and new friends and associates. You find it difficult to systematize your efforts and to fulfil your obligations and plans as you are not inclined to apply yourself consistently to a job to reach your goals.

I think this is right, I mean I'm pretty set on moving to San Fran by any means and I can't wait for college/travel/etc. I couldn't understand the last line because it uses lots of long words that I don't understand, but I assume it is right.

QuoteAlthough you appear positive, you inwardly lack self-confidence and will-power.

Lies! LIES!!! :(

Yes, that is PRECISELY why I sold BR for my mini company project. Even though all the people who bought it couldn't even move the character or pick things up. It was awesome.
#1460
Well I like him except he kinda looks like he's gonna fall flat on his face any second :) He seems to be leaning forward a bit to much. Try to place his feet square so he's standing solid. Also, I like his style... it's very much like MI1 crossed with MI3.

It's gonna be hard to animate him, I think, in capturing a movement that suits him. But anyhoo, nice job overall.
