I think "A Life Less Ordinary" Would make an excellent adventure game. It follows  the story of this guy, he's a janitor but he dreams of writing books. He gets fired and is replaced by a cleaning robot, so he goes to protest to the Owner of the company and accidently kidnaps his daughter. His daughter it turns out, is pretty evil, and teaches him how to make demands and everything... meanwhile, two angels have been sent from heaven to make them fall in love.

And, it has completely WHAT THE HELL!? Ending, just like MI2!!!!

I know I have to put doors in, fix the windows and that awful patch of grass in the centre but.... What d'ya think? I just looked again... I'll also add shadows to create depth.

The variety in storys, scripts, art and music that can be seen in the AGS forums is amazing, so I thought I'd start a thread where everyody can post the names of their main inspirations, for music, art, stories... whatever. It'll be interesting linking peoples styles to those of their mentors

For art, I love Tetsuya Nomura and all of the Monkey Island III team. I got loads of inspiration from the MI3 art, but mostly from Tetsuya who is constantly refreshing and new.

Storys, plots, scripts etc.,.... All the rest comes from Tim Schafer, who is truly truly godlike

I don't know really, I tried to read it but my brain imploded. But I love this sort of story. That's why I loved Soul Reaver, because I loved the whole "Material World, Spirit World" thing. And Matrix too. It would be completely different, and if done properly could be dead cool.
