What are you doing back in Brighton? Studying or more babel??

Visiting my friend who is a boy.

Going home on wednesday though to finish some exams :( booo

You'll find that about 50% of the time, I'm in Brighton.
#604
Cool well, I'm not asking for his but yeah, if somebody wants to pass mine on to him so that he can meet up if he wants... but I'm leaving on Wednesday for a bit so he doesn't have too long :)
#605
Yeah Monday apparently. Today.

You're from Brighton? No way dude.

Who else here is from Brighton? Let's all hang out tomorrow.

Hah, wait. You're from LONDON. Hah! Brighton is far superior.

Hey all,

Andail mentioned he was coming to Brighton and whatnot, but I don't think I got back to him in time to leave my contact details. He should already be here or something, and I thought it might be nice to show him around tomorrow. Do any of you have his phone number so that you could pass my number on to him? Or something.

And so that I can stalk him and rape him and do things that people from the internet generally do.

I could barely believe my ears when i heard that the Simpsons Season 16 won no emmys. No, wait, i could. Season 16 was kinda crappy. I know this has been discussed before (in a thread I created i believe), but what exactly do you think is the formula, and does this happen to all animations that do not cancel when appropriate, like futurama.

Futurama did not 'cancel when appropriate'.

QuoteThe doom of animation is upon us!!!

That doesn't really make sense.

Dream Theater - Octavarium
Freak Kitchen - Organic
Infected Mushroom - I'm The Supervisor
Meshuggah - I

I prefer to go by albums rather the songs ... lol

Heh sometimes that is best, like with Park Life :)

General Discussion / Favourite Songs of 2005
Thu 05/01/2006 17:01:31
I don't mean 'what were your favourite songs that were released in 2005'. I mean, what songs make you look back on that year, on the bad things and the good things. What songs make you remember how the summer smelled, or how you felt the first time you met somebody? Please try to not mention Westlife and Girls Aloud... if their songs are part of the anthem of your life, you're probably better off dead.

Mine would be:

Sweet Song by Blur
Wild Horses by Rolling Stones
Sway by Bic Runga
Across the Sea by Weezer
Oh Yeah by Ash
Dare by Gorillaz
Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz
Park Life (entire album) by Blur

The first four are your average love song things that remind me of my boyfriend. The last three remind me of the summer I spent working in Brighton. I'd listen to those songs every day as I walked to work. Oh Yeah was particularly awesome since the lyrics were relevant :)

On warm June evenings
She would come to my house
Still in her school skirt
And her summer blouse
Talking too long as the night came on
It was the best time of my life
Her bee stung lips,
Kisses sweeter than wine
The things she whispered
With breathless sighs
The summer air was soft and warm
Her eyes were making silent demands
And as her hair came undone in my hands

Oh Yeah she was taking me over
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer

Driving her home after midnight
I felt so good everything was alright
Her thoughts seemed so lost in the night sky
I remember everything
I don't know why these things ever end
I sometimes wish it was that summer again
I still see her in my sleep
And hear the sighing of the summer wind
Still I don't regret one thing

During the summer it made me feel happy but now it makes me feel a little bit sad and lonely. :) :) :) :( :)

Obviously Park Life rules.

My boyfriend had scaffolding around his house at the time, which ruled, because it meant that on the weekends (when the builders were gone) you could climb out of the window and sun yourself on a little scaffolding balcony. Dare reminds me of sitting on that balcony with him and some friends, and literally not being able to move for the heat. I couldn't even reach for my G&T. It also reminds me of walking to work every morning... sometimes in searing heat, sweating up the massive fucking hill, and sometimes in the cold and rain.

They were the songs that rocked my world last year. What about you?

I want to go travelling. Give me all your friend codes and fruit.

Being from Ireland, and frequenting England, I can tell you that they are very different countries.

Ireland has far more chavs, for a start.
#616
Oh man.

Shortly after this thread was started I accidentally somehow sort of got myself into an internet relationship.

It's hard because he lives in the UK and I live in Ireland.

But it's been the best 6 months of my life. He is the sweetest, loveliest person in the entire world. Sure, it's a little hard to find time to see each other, but the time we do have together is entirely worth it.

Internet relationships can and do work, a lot of the time. In fact, another guy I know over here (in England) is married to a girl he met online. Also look at Kinoko's story.

Happy happy :)

I also found 4 to be a disappointment... as well as that, Call of Cthulu was incredibly disappointing for me. WTF, it's meant to be so scary that the guy is having a fucking panic attack and trying to kill himself because he can't walk another step forward... and then he says, "Hm, the heart has stopped moving!" in a most jovial voice. That was the first game ever that made me turn off the voices and turn on subtitles... and I played FFX.

That said, I adored Silent Hill 2. I tried to go into town to get Silent Hill 3 today, which I heard is also pretty good... unfortunately, not ONE STORE in the ENTIRE OF BRIGHTON had it in stock.

:(

Yeah, give 2 some time. It gets so good. Arghargh I want to play it now.

I played WOW on my boyfriend's PC because he had broadband, which I do not possess. I learned how to play, and by the time I returned to college I had a level 7 female night elf hunter bitch. The reason I didn't get her any higher was because there was a shortage of weed prior to my departure...haha I crack me up no, actually it was because when WOW exists, sharing PCs becomes somewhat of a joke, especially when both users play WOW.

Sad.

I'll be there again in a few days, so I'll find out what server and stuff I was on and add some of you guys possibly or whatever... my WOW knowledge is very limited... I didn't get much of a chance to play it... it's not that great, really...
