Uh...

...Well, me and an extended group of friends are heading over there for the day, soo...

You don't have to turn up if you don't want to. But it's going to be a lot harder to sell you a PC if you're not there.

Anybody going to be in or around Oakwood (The theme park in Wales, that is) on the 17th of August?

Wanna hang out? We can ride the scariest rides together and then discuss game design theory while eating greasy fries.

And then I can sell you PC insurance and stuff like that. It'll be great. Honest. I swear.

That's funny because, apparently, there is a lost city in my back garden. Not joking. There is supposed to be an ancient village located somewhere around where I live, that reaches under our fields.

Haha! Now who is laughing, eh?! You people from the Land of America!? Or I!? From the Lost City of Ireland!!!!

What are we going to do tonight? I asked. I'm evil. That could well be the answer.

The continuation of our species matters more than you can imagine. It is the single most important thing we can do. Don't do that, the cat pointed out. Don't do that, the cat pointed out. There were many examples of animals all around. I'm evil. eXVmc3RlckB5YWhvby5jb20=

Have you ever been a cow?

Don't get me wrong, again. I mean, it's not something that bothers me much. But how often do humans make assumptions about the feelings of other animals and mammals and whatnot? Dolphins are amazingly intelligent! Birds are stupid. Cows are stupid. Meh. Goldfish have a memory span of three seconds.

How do we know this stuff? How do we really know that dolphins are wonderful creatures? How do we really know that birds only feed and rear their young from survival instinct rather than love? How do we really know that cows forget about their calves when they're taken away?

I had a cat. He was disabled, I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with him but he could never walk in a straight line. He was always wobbling about. I had him since he was a kitten, dying in a carpark. He was about two years old when we moved and left him with a relative.
TWO YEARS LATER I went back to that house and he darted across the yard and climbed straight on to my shoulder and started purring. He totally remembered me.

I also had a pet goat. He was going to be slaughtered at a few days old because that's what happens; the female goats have kids, the males are slaughtered and turned into Irish Drums and the females are reared to repeat the cycle. This guy escaped and I bought him from the farmer because I felt sorry for him. He became like a little dog. He followed me everywhere and he protected me from EVERYTHING, even non-dangers. He was AWESOME.
Over a year later I took him back on to the farm and his mother recognised him as her kid as a couple of days old. She was wary, but she came over to talk or whatever goats do. No other goat did.

We had pet lambs as well. The female used to really irritate the goat. He actually disliked her. He'd always butt her, but only whenever I wasn't around. Because he knew I hated that.

There's a lot more to animals like goats and cows and birds than people give them credit for. I guess it makes them feel better about eating them or something. To say that a cow forgets her calf is wrong. You don't know that. You've never been a cow and you can't ask the cow how she's feeling, so I guess we'll never know.

QuoteCows HAVE to be milked, if they don't have a calf.

Man, how did they live without humans, eh?!!??

Think of human females. They only produce milk when having a child. They continue to produce milk while the child continues to breastfeed. When the child stops, milk production stops.

Okay, I am not vegan or anything. But I know Vegans that are vegans simply because they don't like drinking milk. I don't like drinking dairy milk. I don't mind it in coffee. But I drink Soya Milk otherwise. I prefer the taste. I also don't like eating eggs. Lots of people don't like eggs and milk.

I'm not vegetarian because of the poor animals, but because I just don't like meat. I think it's gross.

BUT, by the same token, that doesn't mean that animals DON'T often lead horrible, cruel lives to be eaten. Also, cows do not ordinarily produce milk constantly. To get a cow to produce milk, she has to have a calf. The calf is taken away from her at a young age and the farmer milks her to keep her milk production going. So in a sense, it is very cruel and unnatural and distressing for the cow and the calf.

Similarly, many eggs come from 'battery farms', which are hideously cruel, not allowing the hen to move for her entire life.

The production of Christmas Turkeys is also extremely sad. I got a pet turkey when I was little, because I was weird. It was an almost full grown adult bird, and I had to teach it to walk, eat and drink. It was sad because they are lovely birds, and are actually quite affectionate.

Pigs are very intelligent animals, and often their lives and slaughter are very sad. They can lead miserable, frightening, painful and distressing lives before they are slaughtered and processed for human consumption.

That's not the reason I don't eat meat. If I did eat meat, I would probably stop eating meat because of that. But the reason I don't eat meat is because I think it's gross. But yes; most animals suffer to provide food for humans, especially in the most profitably-run farms, and you can't deny that.

On the other hand, lots of humans suffer for the coffee I'm drinking right now.

So, whatever.

PC World usually have stuff like that knocking around. But it's crap. To give you an example, for $800 we had a Samsung running at 1Ghz, with 128mb of ram, with a CDrw and a 14'' screen. It was big, bulky and not pretty, and the only thing it had going for it was the fact it was WiFi enabled.

You'd be much better off saving a little more and going for a special offer laptop somewhere. Places like PC world (I am giving this as a constant example because 1) I work there and 2) I know you have PC worlds over in England, but I don't know what else you have) generally run special 5-day offers that are really good value, like the Toshiba that they were selling recently for $1299 (About 950 sterling?) with 512mb Ram, 128mb Graphics Card, 2.8 Ghz with a DVDrw.

But if you really wanted it under 500 quid, get something like the samsung. Just keep browsing the bargain areas at PC world or equivelent.

Would you be interested in considering our extended warranty?

People who don't eat meat scare me.

Why do you think genetically we have those teeth called "canines"?Ã,  For ripping and tearing of flesh, of course!Ã,  Not that an all meat diet is good, but we are omnivores and it's only through good science and food technology that the "natural" vegans can exist in any kind of healthy manner.

It's like rabbits not humping or something.

OMG you are right WTF I am going to go eat some meat RIGHT NOW you have changed my mind that I do not like the taste or smell of meat!

Man! If there were WTF tags I would be using them. This whole thread would be filled with WTF tags. WTF? I make a nonsensical topic and you make sense of it? You people fill me with hopelessness, and WTF. Why does it bother you what I do or don't eat? Why do you get so offended that I do not eat meat?

Silly humans. IT WAS A PASSING REMARK!!! Let's get back to the topic here, which is what I'm eating.
