Also (but speaking from a limited perspective, as I've only been to 1 Mittens boozefest meeting) the current discussion makes it come across as a week drenched with alcohol from dusk 'till dawn. That's really not what it's like at all, rest assured.

Oh deary - sounds not so much like a virus, but more like a Virtumonde trojan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_virtumonde). They're a complete and total pain in the behind - I got one and the only way to get rid of the thing was to do a format and reinstall of my C: drive.

I usually work on a seperate layer and use brush/eraser. But working on a layermask by just hitting "x" to swap the colors is really more convinient. Thanks for that.

It also means you can "erase" bits of a layer without destroying them. I wouldn't be caught dead without layer masks.

That's pretty cool, miez, though since I use a workbench boot up and whdload I probably won't notice.

Believe me, try booting an ADF file with the sounds turned on. It's like an instant timewarp to the eighties!

Sort of - kinda - related. Has anyone tried the latest version of WinUAE? The (excellent) Amiga emulator? It comes with sampled diskdrive sounds that play when you load a game - it adds a ton to the whole retro experience!

Miez or Misj'? - Of even though we have a lot more in common than one would expect (we live in the same city, his last name is more or less the village where I lived most of my life, his first name and mine are very similar, he has less hair on his head (based on the image on his website), but I'm certainly getting there...it's almost like he's my alter ego) we are not the same person.
