Boy oh boy, multiplayer turned out to be a bit more of a nightmare than expected but we think we've got it stable at 64 players per instance! Thanks in no small part to the technical wizards at PhotonEngine... And just for good measure Cat decided to run AGS through her custom 3D API that allows you to - tada - play the scenario module on Oculus, Vive and Gear VR!

Of course the models need some work and the buildings have no textures yet but that's in the works.
Next up: in-app purchases and the quicktime events...

YES! My first +10 Gigadeath! The simulator part of "Eruption!" is (mostly) up and running:

Now for the truly tricky part... multiplayer :-\

Ok, fluid dynamics are HARD! :( Cat is working on some cutting edge lava simulation code. Glad I'm not a coder, it would make my head explode (I mean, she sent me this: https://github.com/juniperoserra/jsWater :-\ ).
But yeah - we're progressing well (sofar).

Want to see all the Ben Jordan games being played live on Twitch? By Francisco Gonzalez himself? He's doing case 1-4 today (April 9) and case 5-8 tomorrow.

Surf this way: https://www.twitch.tv/grundislav

Please find the time and animate that title screen! Pretty pleaaaase! (nod)(nod)(nod)

Haha, well - we'd rather spend our time on in-game animations but if we have some time left... sure!

Alright, here we go!

In 'Prepared' you play a suburban survivalist father living in a middle American suburb in the 1960's. You've just finished a Do-It-Yourself fallout shelter in your backyard when a disaster warning comes on the radio. It's finally your time to shine! Spend the last few hours before the disaster strikes gathering supplies and, if time permits, your family.

I'm aiming for 'A Serious Man' meets 'Falling Down'.

Very nice artwork!

QuoteWorking title "ERUPTION!"...
I love your backgrounds, Miez. I can't wait to play this.

Let me know if you need a lousy Van Halen cover :-D

Thanks! But I think we've got this :-D ... our story is complete (the body count is in the thousands!), Cat is working on puzzles, dialogue and character sketches. I've started work on the background art, so far pretty happy with our title screen:

Finally I am at my Hotel in Heathrow - what? 8-0
Yes, my flight got cancelled. I have to stay here and hope I can fly back tomorrow...

Oh damn, that sucks! Any specific reason?
#54
Flight and hotel booked - I will be staying at Staycity Aparthotels Deptford Bridge Station. Which is even closer to the venue than the Mercure :D
#55
Great to hear it moved to the 12/13 december weekend - this means I can make it as well! ;-D
#56
Have a lot of fun Mitteneers! Wish I could be there, say hi to Gabriel Knight from me :D
#57
I've looked at my financial and 'available time' situation, and sadly I must decline this year. :( A shame as New Orleans is certainly on my "must visit" list.
Have a lot of fun Mitteneers!

Can I be put on the "possibly" pile? I'd love to visit New Orleans, but not sure if I can get it all together this year.

Wow Cat, that sounds like a bit of a struggle! :D
