The lighting and use of colour is very good, nicely atmospheric. The only thing that sort of bugs me are the fracture lines in the stones. They seem a bit out of place...
Great BG for - what I expect - is going to be a great game...

seeing sexy scenes on TV has certainly made me horny on occasion.

And that's a BAD thing? ;)

Read it, enjoyed it a lot but got sort of p*ssed off over the following:

Spoiler

If Snape really turns out to be an evil bastard, I'm going to ritually burn all seven HP books. He's one of the few truly interesting characters in the books IMHO. I think it would just be too easy (in a way) to "write him off" as an evil wizard. Snape deserves better. Harry Potter having to cooperate with a man he really loathes is just so much more interesting than having him save the world with his buddies. Just my 2 cents.

If you need lots of space and lots of bandwidth at reasonable prices: www.hostrocket.com aren't bad... (1 Gig storage, domainname, 50 Gig bandwidth for $6.95 / month)

Thing is: the mod they made shows pr0ny content that was already in the game (but hidden). Still a hypocritical move, I think...

^ ok ... I KNOW it's a shankara stone. But it looks - eh - different. ;D

Ok, not really a lot of danger involved, but whatever:

Could I just use up some valuable bandwidth to rant about morals and such?
Why is it that nobody blinks an eye when a game is released in which you play a gangsta and kill dozens upon dozens of people, but as soon as a tiny bit of sex is discovered a full scale media riot ensues?

Sex between consenting adults (virtual or of the meat variety) is a GOOD thing in my book. Killing people is a BAD thing (to me).

Is it just me or do we seem to have our priorities the wrong way around?

Quote from: strazer on Wed 06/07/2005 22:24:04Sorry for my almost total lack of interaction, I'm kinda shy around new people (especially the ones whose language I haven't quite mastered...).

Well, let's face it ... there were some particularly scary people around, so I'm not surprised at all... ;D

Just wanted to mention to Matt that he did a truly great job with the annual. Very professional, looks great ... thanks a bundle. :)

 ;D "Damn, I was sure I brought a tent..."

Why not just make the shadow part of your character sprite and use an alpha channel to make it partly transparent? That should be possible, right?

Well, Luton International Airport was packed to the steaming brim with screaming kids and confused businessmen, and the only remarkable feature of Luton's new departure lounge is that it's obviously too small for the thronging masses. ;D

I had a good time with you guys, it was great to see (almost) everyone turn up and now I can mentally add real life pictures to avatars and forum nicks, which is always a good thing.
Hope the weather dramatically improves for those staying ...

I checked the weather forecast and it appears we might be setting our tents up in the rain. (I'll need a hand from some people as my tent is big).

Lets hope the weather clears up for the weekend.

Well, that's not what the BBC wants us to think: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0008

Good weather all round...

Just to confirm, Miez - I will be at Luton airport to pick you up between 9 and 9.30am (depending on traffic :p) - and we should get to Laleham for 10.30-11am (depending on traffic), so anyone who needs a lift from Staines to Laleham can ring my mobile after 11ish. O79OO 331134. CJ said he'll help out too but I'm not sure how you can contact him!

Okidoki, fine ... I'll be there, mass transport facilities permitting. ;D

Oddly enough keyhole can actually find my street and show a little blob where my house is! Yayness!

Right ... now let's make a Gabriel Knight fangame. Great sprite! and I like the subdued tones. Reminds me a little of a grown up Harry Potter as well, don't know why. ;D

Me booked as well - I'm arriving friday 1st in the morning and I'll leave monday 4th in the evening.
