I had a great time at my first AdventureX! Met some dear old friends, and some cool new people. Watched a whole bunch of awe-inspring games and got soundly beaten in the quiz. Feeling very inspired and ready to make some games

Note to self: best not to check your homeward flight details after having visited the pub. I went to Stansted airport, but my plane was leaving from Gatwick. Felt like a bit of a dumbass, thank the gods for a taxi service from Stansted to Gatwick!

Flying in tomorrow morning, will be there around 13:00ish. Looking forward to this!

Got me a ticket and found a hotel ... looking forward to this!

Good work! I think the bigger (new) sprite has much better proportions. But I like the old sprite's face a little better.

His power is to turn things black -- which makes him infinitely cooler. I'm yet to think of a suitably suave name for him. I'm thinking KromatiK? MonoKromatiK? Mono-Krome?

Maybe use the word black in a foreign language? Black in Russian is 'Cerny', for instance...

Also, given the color-themed superhero, I thought it'd be fun to use some crazy color palette. EGA looks like fun:

Crap ... I was (and still am) interested. But halfway through august is simply impossible for me. I'm taking a vacation by the end of august, so I can't really afford to tell my employer that I won't be there for a couple of weeks.
Sad to see this fall through. Maybe we can find a couple of days this fall or winter to organise a meetup?

Wait a minute... I know that hallway!
Lighting looks pretty good to me - even though the right side is very dark.
The shadows from the central hallway (the one with the windows and the double door (?) ) on the floor seem to be too divergent. Remember that sunlight makes near parallel beams, right now it looks like there is a point-light right outside the central window.

I'm going to make sure to be there as well... about time I visited some AdventureX

Ok, time to call this one. All entries were great this time; JWalt's was very zany and funny (I like the 'jokey' nature of the reveal), HanaIndiana's is a cutscene in itself - so many little animated elements, it must have been a nightmare to make. And Snarky's is just phenomenal; great color, composition and atmosphere and first class animation. My vote goes to JWalt - just because I believe you all deserve recommendations!
