You must have a modem from the capital of Crapland. It's a pretty lean website, after all.  ;D But no - only when you score like a pro are you a Certified Cyber Lesbian. Or something. I don't know - I just make the stuff...

Well done on your MA degree, SSH! :)

I've tried the boat game at BA, MA and PhD levels - and admittedly at PhD level I get my ass kicked, but the other two levels I've completed without problems. What browser and platform are you on, SSH?

Overall: great job!

Yes - I've seen that one as well, and I'll fix it asap. There was unfortunately too little time to do some thorough bughunting.  :P
Thanks for the compliments!

I spent the last two months glued to my computer making a series of Flash games and quizzes for the Womens' Studies faculty of my local university. It's not adventure related, but it IS game related, and this is the Gen Gen after all.
So visit them, try out the games (the cheatlinks will be removed after the weekend) and go for that high-score. I know I can't 'cause I suck at the quizzes. They are 1337 in an academical feminist way.  ;D

And fear not - the website is in English.

Wanderlady,

I can see your point - to a certain degree. I think everybody is entitled to their own beliefs/religion. And I think you should always respect other peoples' convictions.
So if you had stated that (in jest) referring to CJ as Jesus, Christ, Mohammed or whatever would be harmful or hurtful to YOU I would have had no problems with your post. But you're suggesting that it's bad for everybody.
That's nonsense and presumptious - I've laughed at these jokes, and laughing is good for me.
As Boyd so "directly" put it: apply your religious guidelines to your own life, don't force them upon others. In return people will respect your convictions - I'm sure.

Just two spring to mind, but I love them both to bits:

I know this is gonna sound a bit baby-ish, but one of the main reasons I wouldn't like to go to college in the US is because I don't think I'd be ready to. I mean, the prospect of packing up and leaving my family for possibly years without seeing them often, in just two years time, is pretty dire. My family couldn't really afford to come over and see me, and as a student I probably couldn't afford to go over and see them, except for rare occasions. I wouldn't know anybody and it would be wayyy too much pressure all of a sudden, straight after high school which is essentially molly-coddling.

Yuf, that's not baby-ish. You're just being realistic, sensible and sensitive. I think a lot of people would think long and hard before packing up and moving to a country where you know hardly anyone. I know I would.

hey miez i saw you made Q3 map of Groznjan... I live near Groznjan :))

Lol - then I may even have seen your house while I was staring down from the Groznjan hill - completely wasted because of the strong liquor they kept giving us and bleary eyed from too little sleep!  ;D

Photoshop is very much worth having, but it's insanely expensive (the new version costing over $1000).

PSP is very good as well, and a lot cheaper (only $100).

Gimp is free, but an "acquired taste". I don't like it.

General Discussion / Re:Choosing a Wacom.

Salks, take a look at the new Wacom pad, the Volito. It's about as big as an Intuos 2, has mostly the same features (resolution is 1000 DPI instead of 2500 though) but it costs a LOT less than an Intuos: 50 Euro's instead of 200.
It's still a Wacom ...

Oh, and the art thing: yes, Wacom pads collect creative energy that gets collected in great big Wacom storage facilities and redistibuted to all Wacom tablet owners. Just sign in your own blood; here, here and here please ...

- Evil Dead (1981)
Just saw this one recently, and it is really, really scary. I usually don't consider gore to be a plus in any movie(Well, maybe in Braindead, but then I don't consider that to be a real horror movie either...) but in this film it didn't really disturb me that much - It just made it a lot more creepy, in my opinion...
And one thing's for sure: I'm not going down into the cellar of our cabin up in the woods. Ever.

See Evil Dead 2!  See Evil Dead 2!  It's sort of like Braindead in concept, but about a gajillion times better.

Evil Dead 2 is very phunny, especially when the walls start vomiting these industrial strength torrents of goo ... BUT it's not a scary movie. Evil Dead 1 has a sort of gritty, low budget, Blair-witch-meets-snuff-mobie quality to it that makes it damn scary.
In my opinion - but I'm just a little wuss ...  ::)

Go for the Wacom - any other brand and ultimately you'll be sorry. I've got an Intuos - but a really small one (the postcard A6 sized) but as long as you don't have an incredibly huge monitor or work on 6000x6000 pixels images you're not really going to need a big tablet.
The intuos tablet is also nice because it takes it's power from the USB port and the pen (and mouse) in turn take their power from the tablet (in some vaguely electromagical way). So you don't just have a pen - you also get a cordless mouse!
I luv my wacom.  ;D
