Great scene! the ground could use some detail (unless it is covered in low groundmist, which could be very nice as well) and maybe add some tiny lights to the dropship/shuttle thingy (unless of course, it is completely shut down). I'd love to see a game made using graphics of this quality.

they're obscenely big - filesize wise - that's one thing I object to. :)

I think it might work (even) better if the stick leaves afterimages that are in the same orientation as the stick itself - something like this:

That's extremely tasteful! great BG! - it may be a bit dark, but that really adds to the atmos. Bit of a useless reply, this, as I don't have any criticism ... :)

Labcoats are usually a bit shorter - just below the knee, this one reaches almost down to the ground (making it look like a robe or djelaba) - try to add some pockets and a cuff, that will make it look more like a labcoat. :)

I'm with Evil on this one: absolutely gorgeous picture, love the shading of the backdrop hills, but the car seems a bit too small - or the bench too big.

I like it!  But shouldn't the shell go behind him?  When you fire a gun left handed (unless it's a right handed gun) the shell travels out to the left.  So I'm going to assume he's left handed (like me) but the gun is tooled for a right handed shooter.  Yeah, that's it ... now the world makes sense again.

I thought all handweapons released their shell casings to the right? (most people are righthanded, and that way the shells gets released away from your body). I could be wrong of course ...

'nother Dutchlander here - je struikelt hier over de klompen :) - but, er, I couldn't find the game on your website. My poor websurfing skills I guess ... :(

First up: this sounds like one hell of a game - make it! :D

My few pennies worth of suggestions:

- After image
- Obscure
- Dreamtime
- Still (as in "a single frame of a movie")

For all you sprite artists out there: take a look at this German program:

ProMotion ( http://cosmigo.com/promotion/ )

It is a lot like the old Amiga DPaint4, and has some very cool onionskin and anti-aliasing functions.
It costs money though: $47,- for the CD version, $19,95 for a lite version with less functionality. They have a trial version for download as well.

I just hope we don't get into problems with LucasArts (and/or LucasFilm) about the use of Indy's portrait - but I can always chuck it out, and put something else in ...

Hell no! I just downloaded IndianaJonesBackgroundCreator! (don't use the v1.0 version though; it has no bullwhip.plugin and the nazis look like shit).

Just kidding; it really looks harder than it is: if you can draw (a little), have some imagination and perseverance, you'll get there. Just study the original artwork and (obligatory input device ad) get yourself a tablet and pen. Or stick with a mouse and get RSI ;)

Wow - that is some nice artwork! It is great to have such a well developed setting to base your game upon.

Film noir, film noir, film noir! That probably didn't count as three votes, did it? ;D

And spill all the Secrets of the Pixel? are you crazy?? :) - just kidding, I'd love to do a tutorial for the website. It won't be done this week, but I'll get right on it in the weekend!
