I don't know if I'm in a minority or not, but I love listening to MIDI's. I don't know what it is about them, but they just appeal to me. That said, I don't nearly have enough MIDI's, or at least not anything new, and would love to have more. So if you'd like to post a collection of your very own MIDI's, (one's you've created), I'd be much appreciative. I promise I wouldn't use them for anything other listening. And because I know you can't ask without giving, I've compiled a collection of my own. Not all pieces are complete, and I'd prefer if anyone wants to use MIDI, they ask me, but they're there for the taking.

They we're okay comics. Some of the humor appealed to me as a student, but some of it didn't work for me. But what do I know...most of my humor stems from puns.

1. They already have done so.

2. Bible based, no. Ethically based...yes. Although, this in itself leaves a lot of issues up in the air.

3. They do intertwine to a degree, but while the majority of the U.S. is Christian. Many of those christians have view points that aren't necessarily bible based. And as there is a system of checks and balances, even if something outragously passed into law, could be turned over in time.

4. If it turns out the majority of people want to live this way, it's a majority rules country with minority rights. If those rights are taken away, I'm not sure what I'd do. Probably move somewhere else.

I haven't met people in North Florida who've used AGS, yet. A few people have played adventure games, but that's the extent of my random meetings with people.

I tried to get an internship at Telltale, but they had just started and weren't taking applicants at the time.

Well, I'm finished now.

It wasn't really up to my expectations. I was annoyed by a few pixelish hunting things.

Like the fish on top of the trash. It took me forever to find it, figuring that trash can implied everything within the can. And I couldn't understand why one door was locked, and the door opener couldn't open it, but it could cover the huge vent. The police completely allowing you the ability to come in and out as you pleased seemed inplausable, even in the context of a BJ game. There were many times where I was left wandering the game with no idea what to do, even thought the notebook gives you some idea of what to look for.

I found other people refering to the women as Ben's girlfriend to be annoying (other than Ben's friend), and his denial annoying as well. There were many characters that you used that were never touched again, and Ben still would come up to them and do the hello, may I talk to you, Goodbye, bit. I was also angered by the fact that you could go to the dead guys building but couldn't do anything, so it was just a waste of time. But I still had to keep checking because I never knew if you were going to do something over there.

You're friends ability to hack into things with ease annoyed me, not that he could do it, but it took five seconds. When an easy "moments later" screen or something would have worked better, for me. The exits on all screens were difficult to detect. There was one place in the village, with the bushes, where there looked like a trail heading east, but Ben couldn't go that way. And even when they were detected, it was difficult manuevering Ben over there sometimes. There was a collection of odd dialog. For some reason once you talk to the women who's grieving her husbands death, you're able to talk to her about serious issues without even explaining who you are.

I like the graphics, they work well with each other and nothing sticks out. The music is always top notch. The story was a little on the weak side, but interesting enough to keep me going. But I just didn't enjoy the game that much. Which is a shame, becuase I've enjoyed the other four.

My review of day one.

There's not much to say. So far the story is interesting enough. The graphics are the same, and since it's better than I can do, they're brilliant. The music works well.

My only complaint is ackward exit areas. Sometimes it's hard to see where the exit really is. It wouldn't be such a problem, but Ben Jordan is slow enough that if you guess wrong it just kind of slows the pace of the game. The dialog is the same, some of it is good, some of it is a little strange. I don't personally like the dialog option with an exclamation point, but that's my personaly preference.

The names of the victims...it was kind of annoying that BJ didn't naturally just write them down in the notebook, only because he does this naturally when he finds something to do. It also took me a while to realise, that in the inventory I had a list of the names, apart from the notebook, when I kept trying to show the notebook to Ben's friend. Also, not a huge problem, but Ben's friend only took like five seconds to research the names.

But most of these are small complaints, and I haven't finished the game, yet. I'm enjoying what I've played so far.

Just wanted to mention that survivor has two seasons a year, so 12 seasons is possible. And I have enjoyed survivor. It's not a reality show, but it can be really interesting, otherwise it wouldn't have 12 seasons. That said, I haven't watched the show for about three years, but I'm sure it's as entertaining. Not my first choice for entertainment, but it fits a prime time slot.

I think that there are great games exhibiting strong characters and great games with characters your supposed to copy your personality on. With whatever option you choose, if it's done well, it will work. If it is not done well, it won't work. Either option is up to personal preference, but I've enjoyed games with both sets of characters.

I do think, though, that a stronger character might bring out more interesting puzzle solutions than a generic character. Since their solutions to the puzzles show who they are. Like how in Full Throttle, Ben is a lot more action oriented. He kicks and hits stuff to get things done, wheras a lot of blank characters might get the magic pixie dust, sprinkle it on a ball, do a jig, and the door will open. But like I said, I have no preference either.

Techinically your always traveling in time (Assuming that time exists). Slowing down or speeding up time is fairly simple. So traveling in the future is possible, because we are already traveling to the future. However, reversing time, is a bit more difficult. I don't think it's not possible, though. I believe we've already sent back a particle in time...I remember reading about it somewhere, but I can't validate whether or not that is true. Quantum Mechanics, will show us the way to do that, if it exists. Of course you can theorize all you want about how time travel will work, but it doesn't mean anything until/if we actually become capable of doing so.

It's also silly to say, so in so has never used time travel, because he hasn't traveled back in time to see himself, even though he said he would. This doesn't disprove that time travel exists, or a person won't time travel. It just proves that a person who is capable or not of going back in time, didn't go back in time and tell themselves they're from the future. Which would probably be the case anyway. Because even if they do invent time travel in the near future, I doubt it would be open to the public, and I doubt they would spend so much money just to prove to their past selves that it could be done.

As far as going as far back in time as the time machine, itself. I can see how that would be plausable. Although, I can see other ways. If anything, the most plausable use of time travel, wouldn't be to send people back in time, though. It would be to send information about future discoveries. So if one were to make a time machine that could go back in time, they'de have a gold mind.

I think if time fly's when your having fun. Then going back in time, must be wretched.

Sometimes I really hate my computer.

I had a project due, and I was fairly confident I would get it done. So, thinking this, I sign off my computer to watch a movie with my friends the night before it's due. So I get back to my room at 12:30am. And decide to do a quick bit of more of the program. I turn on the computer (which is generally how I use it), and then I remember how much my life sucks. As Windows XP tells me to select a user to log on, I look at a list of users, and the list is strangely small. And by small, I mean nonexistent. So I couldn't get past the log-on screen, and I had a project due, that's just marvelous. I tried to think of all the bad things in life I'd done to deserve this, at this time. I had given a bum some change earlier...but other than that, all good things.

So I decide to check out if Safety Mode would allow me to log on. All I got from that was a lower resolution so the non-existent list of user names looked bigger. Alright, I hunted down my Windows XP to do a repair. It was a highly outdated cd, before service pack 2 came, and whatnot, but it would allow me to log on with an administrative password. That is, if it took my password. Which it didn't. Alright, calm down, it's not like ten percent of your grade is sitting in your computer right now, taunting all the work you've put in.

I decided to call Windows. Maybe they'd know something about this, because it either had to be a malfunction or some sort of virus. So I use my roomates computer and find a number. Call that number, and the person who answers asks me all these questions, and once I've told my story, she tells me that I need to wait till their technical help can get there, at 5am. I knew it wasn't her fault, but why have me go through my story if she was just going to have me call back at a later time? So I set my alarm for 5am, because I want to do this damn project!

So yeah right...I wake up at eight. Not too bad really, but 5am...I was definatly kidding myself. So I call the number, and once again go through this whole process, and then she asks me for my windows id number on the side of system. So as I go down to read the number, naturally the phone disconnects. I call again, before hand writting down the number so it was easily attainable (Which was no easy feat, since they decided to make the letter 4 point font). It's not nearly so bad, because at least I've gotten someone right away. So I get another person. And they inform me that because I got XP from a supplyer, Dell, they told me I would have to contact them. I knew what they'd say, my service contract was expired, and they'd be like "Dude, pay us money or f*** off!" Which I explained the guy on the other end. He then told me, well you could get help through the internet, in which I said, "Haven't you heard a single thing I just said, I can't log onto my computer." Of course, I'm paraphrasing, I did make a curt and probably rude statement however. The other option was paying a phone line 35 dollars for a technician.

35 dollars! Obviously he didn't realise I'm a poor college student. What ticks me off even more, is that the other person sounded like she was about to get some help. I thought about calling again, getting another person, but at that time I just didn't care. And I knew how to fix the problem, I just wanted to know if there was an easy solution, like press ctrl+g+e+t+o+n. So I told the guy that I was angry, hung up, and reinstalled windows with the cd.

This didn't take so long, and the system was ready by nine am, and I worked on my project. It just absolutely pissed me off. So if any of you have any interesting computer problem story's and want to vent, now's the time.

I think some people just prefer to be Anonymous, for reasons of their own. If anything, I'd suggest people actually making a game to stay as far away from these forums as possible. Not including any technical help you may need.

As far as the test is concerned, it's more of a tutorial than anything. I almost think old members should have to take it once a year, so we'd be well behaved for about  a day before we forget what proper forum etiquette is. Or we'd be extra lude, because we'd all have to take a test. Either way, I'm game!

I stopped after one, once I saw that it was only centering its test on one area. I have nothing against Mensa...some of them I'm sure do use their imaginations. Not all of them are just memory machines. And if they want to form a group of intelligent people, I don't see how this is a problem. When you reach that intellect level, it's probably difficult to find people you can relate to, and this organization I guess helps them find similar people.

It was a bit of hit and miss. I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to search the footage to do this, and I admire the work, but it was only mildly funny. I was expecting them to actually show unnecessary censorships, you know ones where you wonder why the censored things. Like when I saw a movie they beeped out the mother in mother-f#@$%^. Which would have been wildly more funny, that inserting and bleeping the F word in these segments.

I don't think demo's should be long. They should just incorporate few puzzles in the same screens you use for your game. Whether you want to use a segment of the game you've already built, is up to you. Just make sure not to give away too much. If I was really concerned with making a demo now, I'd probably use the same backrounds already made and make a short game with my main character and other characters. Like SQ6ish. Just so it gives people the feel for what the real game will be like.

Of course, demo's should only really be used if your chargin money, if your game is bigh, or if you just want to release something so people can see what your doing and can comment on anything they like or don't like so you can fix things while making the game. Vs. fixing them with your beta testers, or after release.

You should have probably just PM'd chris yourself.

I can't really speak for Chris, but I can say that in the past he has been commited to making sure AGS was free. On the basis that he wanted to make this for pleasure, and he didn't want to have it feel like a job. I think currently he's happy with his job salary. He might be interested, I don't know. I'm not really sure what you really want him to do, though. And I'm sure if he goes under such a business venture, he'll want a secure the ownership of everything he's made.

As I said, I can't speak for Chris, only he can do so. But I'd like to hear more about what your doing, because I'm not exactly sure what you want.

I never put much stock in it being a new year. I'll probably make a few resolutions that last a few hours, and fall asleep in drunken bliss. And then the next year I'll get all angry when I date my papers as 2005. The good news is, we get an extra second! So the count down will really be 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...1...Happy New Year! So I'll be living that extra second up!

Within a day of getting a harmonica, I was able to bend notes fairly efficiently. I did look for instructional techniques, but it's not really that difficult.

The percussion is a difficult if you're working with other percussionists and you have to hit the third sixteenth note, or something like that.

In all cases of instruments, though...it really just depends on your abilities. Some people might be able to pick up and learn string instruments more easily than a brass, and vica versa. The truth of the matter is, though, that people can get away with not having the best sound or quality, as most people listening, can't percieve the little extra things that the musician is capable of.
