I thought this was great idea m0ds, and it is. However, my experience with the team project isn't so good. Not because of my team mates, more because I thought I had more time then I did, and then I get swamped by real life, and am unable to contribute as much as I probably would like too (I haven't even been on my computer much, and if I am, it's mostly just to write a paper). I still think it still is a good idea, but I think it should perhaps be done as a yearly thing, over the summer, where there isn't as much in the way to keep people from doing contributing.

And If people would rather make a quality game then finish their game at a set date, I'd rather that done. A good game is much better than a half arsed one, in order to win a competition. Put out what you have, yes, but maybe finish what you haven't. I know after I have some free time, I plan on dedicating a good bit of time on mine, until it's done to the teams liking.

AGS Games in Production / Re:Ace Quest 2

Well, right now it's Spring Break, and AQ is currently on my other system. So production has halted for a week. But, should I get time when I'm back, I should be able to get some serious work done. I think I'll probably finish this sometime in the summer, when I have plenty of time. I'll keep everyone updated when I make some progress.

Before I left I started on a bit of scripting I need to do, and filled in all the actions to one of my rooms (which had a good deal of things to look at, so it took a while, but it'll be worth it when it's released).

I've played around with it some, and so far so good. It's getting a little more compelling as I go along.

I'm a bit stuck though

Spoiler
I'm trying to find the code up at the 11th floor. I thought I might find something in the drawer underneath Colins tank, but since I haven't been able to open it, I haven't been able to get it. I'm also looking for numbers, because the message implies that I might get numbers in which to rearange them and figure it out. I can't find a number anywhere, and I've been looking everywhere.

I did find a bug in the begining...

Spoiler
I was figuring out how to get the lift to open and I talked to the security guard and told him I already had opened it, when I hadn't already opened it.

I'll edit this post as I delve deeper into your game, good job from what I've seen, though.

For some reason I couldn't download it from your website, but am now currently downloading it just fine from AGS's games page. I'll tell you what I think once it's finished (which might take a while).

Thanks. You don't know how much your words have put me in the mood to really work on AQ2.

By all means, anyone willing to do them, please do. It's been a while since we've seen them.

Bump.

Neole...ags atomatically makes MIDI music a little softer...whenever I play a game I need to bump up my speakers, no matter. It's not that much of an inconvinience. And the reason eric decided not to allow the text to skip is because the music was made to time up against the game.

I finished it! Great game. It has plenty of  puzzles for a nine room game. I loved some of the inventory items you allowed the player to use, and how the character actually used them. Great job...all you need is music.

Great game so far! Very clever puzzles.

However...I think I'm stuck, and I'd just like to know if its my fault or yours.

More comments upon completion of game.

Spoiler
I built the hot air balloon, with radio, and have used it on the hole. I tried mixing the rope with it, and that didn't do anything. I tried it on myself. I don't want the solution...I just want to know if there isn't some glitch. So please don't tell me the answer, just tell me if I can proceed.

Who would watch the intro without music, anyways.

I just wanted to say, that this intro, by itself (without music), was amazing. Eric did an absolutely brilliant job. And the animation is tops on my list. Play it or be doomed.

It is a shame that Eric, after all these years of AGS, posts in the wrong forum. tsk tsk tsk...

EDIT - That was a funnier joke when it was in the Announcement forum.

Okay...but you'll feel better if you find it out for yourself.

Left on first screen. Right. And on the third screen you can go either left or down. I hope this helps you.

Okay guys...the jig is up. I'm really Andail, m0ds, leks, Sylpher, eric, Helm, Butcher, and all other AGSers there are...yes even CJ...except one. You see, it's been my plan to make a whole webpage under the geise of an "Adventure Gaming Website" and slowly introducing new people...eventually putting out the Mittens idea...2002, which really was just me by myself taking pictures of random people. I was trying to trap small kids into a false sense of security and then invite them over... I'm a bad person.

(Okay, but seriously, I just wanted to be really sarcastic...none of the above is true...or is it?)

It was short Sylpher...yes. Puzzles weren't difficult...I loved the graphic style you chose...very unique. Great music. You better make Wambus, you can't just build up my expectations like that! And if there's anything you need help with...I'll help you anyway I can. Please make a full fledged game. I like the idea of this...Wambus, it's very unique. You'll have an audience, that's for sure. Good luck!

Yes you are just wandering around. I gave you a subtle hint about it earlier, but if you didn't pick up on it, the process of elimination is the way to go. Once you've tried one direction and it leads you back to the first screen of the desert...don't try it again. If you need more help, I'll give you the directions.
