It looks like the character is floating, and twiggling his legs. To fix this, you should make a bounce in his walking. So a high point where a raise, a lowering, and a base...if you'll understand

I think a lovable character would be definatley have to be a penguin. And the name should begin with a cute name like Puddy... that would definatley rock!

Luckily, I found somewhere a game with a penguin called Puddy!

I'm glad it worked! I have been considering making a new Puddy Penguin game, but I can't promise anything. I am right now busy with my MAGS game The Windmill and after that, im going to think of a big project. Weither that is the sequal to puddy penguin, or something very much differently, im not sure yet.  :-*

French is to me a pain in the back, because my teacher back at highschool never learned us anything. We always watched Asterix&Obelix movies and we were singing songs in class with his guitar... *oooh the good old days!*. But fact is I only know some words like
Je m' apelle Peter, and things like oui, and cuisine... and madame....eun deux trois quattre... and I dont know anything more.

Ich spreche deutsch nicht so gut.... but I can do it better than french :) Well... I'll just stick to dutch and english... hehe :) Good luck with your languages Goldmund.

Moehahaha! I read this, and I burst out laughing out loud! It reminds me on myself 6 months ago!  :P I said... Oh look, im gonna make a cool game wich will be sooo cool, and not even a month later I gave up. But ofcourse you are different and you will, as your first game make a game wich is longer gameplay than almost every profressional adventure game, and ofcourse it will be the best game made with AGS.

1. READ THE TERMS OF THIS FORUM!!! You should announce your game here when it's actually in progress, and so far that you are for sure it will be finished.
2. The title should be the title of the game!
3. Please place a screenshot of the game
4. DON'T BE REDICULOUS!! You'll never going to finish this.

I'm not flaming or anything, but ARE YOU SURE?!?! I mean, if are you an ubernerd without social life, to sit 24/7 behind your pc, and work on the game, then I think you might finish it in one year.... but I hope for you, you DO have a social life, or atleast other things to do besides adventuregame-developing hobby, and so I think it's for sure you won't finish it!

PS: How old are you? I mean, sex, drugs, violence... who cares anyway??? And why no puzzles, isn't that the very reliable part of the adventureindustry? And I think there are enough rapes, drugsdealers and murderers in this F***ED up world that we don't need to wast 65 hours of our time on more of it. I say change the gamename to "The P(e)aceMaker"  8)

Hi I'm the developer of Puddy Penguin. Yes the damn bug is still somehow in it. I tried to fix it, but it seems that if you solve the puzzles in the wrong way, then it does not work or something... I'm going to REALLY try fixing it later ok?

Anyway... to help you, I made a savegame of the game where puddy is in the final room with the Yeti.
to download the save game, right click this link and save as... http://minimi.spijbelaars.com/agssave.001
Copy the file into the gamefolder, and start the game!

There are 2 different ending, so try to find them both! ;) I hope this will work! Did you like the game so far? I'm glad there are still people playing my game  ;D

If it's not working or something, just tell me, and I will take a deep look into the script to try fixing the bug.

maybe you should replace all the textures, and draw your own walls, roof, ground, door... etc...  But im not gonna play the game anyway, because there is a nazi flag involved. I say, put the past behind you, dammit! Don't make jokes about WWII, it was terrible

And NO im not 70 years old, and I haven't seen the war, but still.... *ducktapes his mouth*

Not true! There are far more elements involved. Practically you can win the hand, with shit cards. That is called semi-bluffing. Say you play against 2 other players in a holdem game, and they checked at the turn, and there lyes 9h 10h Qs 3h. You could bet really high, wich makes your opponents think you have the flush of hearts. You might say now, what if you your opponent does have the flush? Well here is getting the reading hands part involved. There are long formula's for reading hands, and when you play poker in real (not online wich im doing), then you can also read the hand by noticing the behavior of the player.

Ofcourse there is a small part of "luck" involved, but saying your screwed with a useless hand is just nonsence!

Well, it pisses me off, when people tell me that poker is gambling. And that poker is about luck.

Because THEY ARE WRONG! I'm a poker player, and I tell them ofcourse that there is skill involved and that's it's not just about luck. THAT PISSES ME OFF!!! I read 4 books about poker, and they haven't and they think they can tell me what's right... AAARRGGGHH!!!

What the crap do you need my opinion for Phil?? Just think of something, make it, and give us the link to the game. What do you care about whether we like it, or not??? There will always be people that don't like it. For example Flashbax, one of the most loved and hated games...( I LOVE IT ;D) and "foz" just made the game, without crappy threads asking about WHAT SHOULD I DO??? I tell you, if you can't come up with something better than a tv-show idea then you can better not start working on any game.

I'm not saying im doing everything good, (actually when do i do anything good??), but I did learn my lesson, that game-developing requires alot of effort. I can also just make in 3 minutes a list of cool titles... look at this :

I hope you find this subject interesting. It's one of the questions that keep me busy the previous days.

We all know that in the past 20 years the development of computergames been really fast and from funny arcade games, the industry growed to simulated realism.

I've been thinking alot on this subject, and I must say that it kinda scared me, when I was imaginating about the future.

For 10 years ago, there were good games like pacman and commander keen, sensible soccer, or early adventure point and click games.



Nowadays the industry got more close to realism and when you look at some of the screenshots of games from EA, games like maxpayne or Myst, or fps games, it's almost like we are in a REAL world. Though still we can find some bugs, and things aren't so real when you get used to them.



What do you think that computergames will be like in 10 years? Will it be possible to smell things, or can you maybe get transferred with your body into the game, and walk around in a virtual world. Will computergames get too scared, for people that we can't see the difference between fake, and realism? I'd like to hear some voices about these things, because I think it's an interesting subject, to know where we lay our boundries, and how far will we go with our development??
