If anyone thought the character art in MI3 was a departure... This will give them (me) nightmares! Creepy...

I gotta say those MAGS games had me intrigued about this possible game :)
If this lives up to expectations (which I'm sure it will) we've got a Game of the Year contender here(nod), now that the bar has been set do we get some blockbuster launches in 2015? :-D

There's a lot of buzz in this thread, Mite. When is this game coming out? Soon, I hope! Demand is at an all time high!  :cheesy:

It's close! It's very close. Down to tinkering and testing. Just give me a few more days :~( I'll have your money Ponch, I swear!
Also please don't treat my dinosaur like an object, so what if we're "all about that bass"  (wrong)

Thanks for the kind words everyone,

As for the game: awesome! The world definitely needs more dinosaur-protagonist adventure games!
I knew you would have my back, CrashPL ;) Dinosaurs Unite!
BTW Zniw, is going to be gorgeous. A terrific non-destructive-dinosaur alternative ;-D

And it's funny how people assume that the giant monster detective is a he, I bet some gender issues will arise even before the game is out!
No, no, no (wrong).  Only the more mature, foreword thinking, revolutionary AGS game makers cast a Female in every single game as the protagonist! Clearly I am not in these ranks. At this time, Crankosaurus Prime's gender seems to be indeterminable. For now I will have to focus on making the consumption of Sheep not so darn much fun! Then you, the player (the person pulling the trigger, I might add), might not be so reckless with their furry little lives...

Update:

Progress Report:
- graphics 97%
- puzzles 100%
- scripting 96%
- music/sound 80%

*working away at sound-effects and taking down bugs two-at-a-time :-D

This looks really neat, look foreword to trying the demo!

STOP

Read the forum rules and don't dig up any more old...

Oh, sorry, wrong board.

Woah, woah, woah!! We don't need any of your rules down here in the Icey Thread! This is an anarchist state, free and wild 8-)

Good to hear you and your team are making some headway, Icey :)
p.s. about Dave and Christen, they have the same clothes... and we all know that Nintendo likes it's Brother-Teams to have different coloured shirts.

ANY giant monster gumshoe worth his salt will of course quickly deduce that if he eats one of the goats and or sheep, another identical creature will spawn soon after in that very spot. It's guilt free snacking at it's best! Elementary my dear Ponchson, elementary! and neither you worry poor Captain D, for you soon will learn to love the crunchy and delicious treat that are whole sheep!! ;)

AGS has long had a noticeable shortage of giant monster detective adventure games. It's about time somebody filled this gap. I look forward to destroying small coastal towns in my hunt for clues. I also plan to exhaust every option on the dialog tree when I question that goat. He knows something. Just look at him! He doesn't want to talk but he's going too. Giant monster detective has ways of making him talk! :cheesy:
Yes... This game WILL have it all...
Ummm, can anyone help me draw monocles on all my sprites?

Glad you folks are excited! Will have to bust out an extra can of shoe polish and get back to work :-D

MiteWisacreLives! is pleased to reveal:

Crankosaurus Prime and the Blue Crystal Pursuit   V1.7: The Fangs of Fortune

Awoken from his slumber by 3 meddling villains, Crankosaurus Prime must go on an inter-continental journey to retrieve three Blue Crystals stolen from his icy tomb. Crankosaurus will battle through using Brains and Brawn, his super-powers increasing as each Blue Crystal is retrieved! What fiendish plot are the Mad Scientist and his hench-men purposing for the Power of the Crystals...

After a year of production, not including a 6 month hiatus, the complete adventure of Crankosaurus Prime is nearly ready for release! Originally an incomplete MAGS entry, the tale now boasts:
- 11 puzzle filled levels!
- 4 epic'ish Worlds!
- Smash, Push, Special Crystal Attack, Grab and Look At anything that stands in your path!
- Make Things Implode!
- Feel clever as you outsmart your foes at every turn!
- Stomp around as a giant dinosaur!
- Eat farm animals!
- Giggle like a school girl as you enjoy the antics of the cast!
- You will no longer need to see Jurassic World!
- 640 pixels! and also 480 pixels going the other way!
- Stereotypes!
- Roaring!

A few Screen-Shots:

A tasty snack perhaps?

Old friends reunited...

Is it possible to make the built in scrolling adjustable ie: Viewport.offset(cChar.x, cChar.y - 100);
playing with SetViewport in repeat_execute turns out really award with blocking walk scripts etc.
Let me know if I'm being a noob....
Use repeatedly_execute_always, that runs even during blocking scripts?
Yah, that kind of works, but there is terrible shuttering that otherwise (without the adjustment to built in scrolling) is not there.
