How do you deal the hole above the indian daughter?
Am i on the good way starting by resolving this in order to get a seconf amulet or is there something else to do before coz i'm lost with all the planets to explore. I don't know where to start.
I just manage to give news to willem from the robot.

Spoiler

you have to put a cork in the whole. then use the cork with the sap of the cactus, and try putting the cork in the whole again. if i remember correctly.

well, there is a big difference between uv mapping, and uv unwrap. uv unwrap is a very complicated dificult task.  ;D uv mapping is just a modifier.  uv unwrap is when you literally unwrap the 3d object onto a 2d plane, on which you then paint in a 2d program like photoshop. its quite a task getting all the vertices in the right place so that when you finally apply the texture, parts of it don't stretch.  ;) i think in gaming companies there are people who just unwrap the models, while others paint the textures.
having said that, unwrapping isn't really necessarry for these objects. normal uv mapping is fine.

bringing it up to the quality of Kings Quest 5 & 6.

make Infamous Adventures' remake of Kings Quest III one of the best remakes on the fan-game market.

Last time I checked, this game was an amateur project. Save the criticism for the commerical games, my friends.

they started it.  ;D

no, i think its an excellent game, and i too think people can sometimes be a bit too critical when it comes to games made by amateurs like us. game making should be  fun.
and i would like to congratulate infamous adventures again on an excellent job. and hoping they make many more games. and dont forget to add your game to the games page, you might win a few awards.  ;)

hey, minimi. it looks really nice.

i was just wondering how the market is for props? do these kind of things sell?  since it looks like a good way to make an extra buck.  ;D

on to the crit (this is the critics lounge.)

the texture on the right object is stretched. secondly, the objects all look like basic shapes, things most 3d artists do when they learn a 3d program. i dont mean to be rude, im just thinking that in max most of these shapes can be done in a few minutes just by using the modifiers and moving a few vertices. it would be nice to see abit more detail, and complex shapes. (i hope you dont take this in the wrong way. and remember, i have no idea who your target audience are, so it might just be perfect.  ;))

anyway, good luck with the product!

I'm enjoying the game. I'm really impressed!. king's quest 3 agi was actually the 1st adventure game i ever played.

i love some of the backgrounds, great job there. portraits are also anatomically correct, which was something kq I and II vga didnt get right, although, the portraits doesn't really fit in with the game. but they look and animate really awesome. i love the logo of infamous adventures. with the wolf howling. looks really professional (except the wolf could have moved a bit better, but i know its hard to animate animals.  ;D)

and i have to add that i love the background of manannan's house outside! the house is painted awesomely, and so is the mountain and cliffs.

i dont really hear any music, so can't comment on that.

i guess the bugs are mostly the fault of the beta testers. its not really your fault that they missed so much. however, "first game" isn't really excuse for that.  ;)

don't worry about radiant, his game is coming along very nicely, and might i add he actually had to write is own story and puzzles. and design a whole game. thats why his game might take a bit longer. ;)

ps, as far as i can remember, all the old sierra agi's works perfectly on my windows xp without emulators.  ;D

thanks for the nice comments.

i can't really elaborate on the content of the game.  :-X it's one of those stories where you can't reveal too much, otherwise it would ruin the whole idea of the game.  :-\
having said that, i don't think the game will be too popular due to the content.  :-\
i added a few sprites.
#377
thanks for the motivation and great comments, nikolas.  ;D

yodaman, notice age restriction.  ;)

Wandering Adventures presents:

Chronicles of the Red Knight

Story:
the jester has opened the red book (good or evil?), and now tells the story of a red knight.
he needs to escape his current predicament, and fulfill his purpose.

Hallway of Adventures is a short prequel to this game.

About:
a 320x200 2d adventure game.
this will be a very violent game, although, not much worse than games like doom1+2. however, due the the mental/psychological themes of the game, i would advise people only older than 18 to play it once its done. when the game is done i will do a re-assessment, and maybe change the age rating.

Progress: 30%

Story: 100%
Graphics: 25%
Animation: 25%
Scripting: 30%
Music: 10%

Screenies:

Ps, I'm juggling this game with two other games, so even though updates might be few, progress is being made.
