yeah, i also downloaded stargate after ive seen ure bgs here. i have dial-up, and so i downloaded it over a few internet sessions. thats why i didnt download it previously, since it was bit big. but now i have, and gonna play right away. it seems u use a sort of matte-painting technique for ure bgs. but not quite.

love the latest version.

because companies want money, they hurry to finish a game, leaving out good story and gameplay, and sell it with high detailed 3d graphics. hoping that the graphics will make them the money. and they know that the kids these days will buy the fps's. so why make adventure games when theyre going to make more money in other genres. I'm talking about the time after the 90's when sierra and lucasarts were so successful.

and why the hell wouldnt we have free adventure games? or adventure game genre for that matter? you think that lucasarts and sierra are the only people capable of thinking up this genre? adventure game genre would have existed, money or no money. somebody somewhere in this world would have made an adventure game.

go quote somebody else. if you read closer, i wasnt all that serious in the 1st place. just wanted to say money is evil, cause it is. if you dont know why, then ure a retard. now coming here and trying to make me explain myself. the nerve.Ã,  :P

but how many times do you have to shoot the yellow guy with the arms?

will commercial games come into the awards. especially since i dont think the same amount of people would have played commercial games like they play freeware. and that would mean less votes for commercial games.

haha, simulcra, isnt ure game the only game with video sequences? haha. that means my vote goes for u in that regard.  ;)

good for you, mate.
#893
isnt ure game commercial! of course ure gonna be on the "pay for ags games" side.  :P

i dont aggree. money already ruined the adventure genre, and it will probably ruin the independent adventure scene. money is evil. dont underestimiate it.

i dont think there has been a game around here that could be commercial in my book.  :P no offence intended. just my opinion.

. Obviously that's an impractical thing for a shadow to do, so the only functional way to do it that I know of would be through the alpha channel.

i have a way that works 100%, without using alpha channel in photoshop or anything like that:

i also use a different character as my shadow for my mordy 2 game. i make this shadow character about 35% transparent, and then when i have to move my main character, i use "eNoBlock" in the "walk" function, and then, just after that i use a little function that Buloght wrote for me, which makes the shadow follow the maincharacter, and also does the "block" function manually. also, ull have to do a little function for the baseline of the shadow, so that the shadow doesnt appear over the character. ill release the code after the game is out, if someone is interested, and buloght doesnt mind.
