wow! thats amazing. this is a piece of art man. i wish i could do something like that from scratch.

could you maybe do a tutorial for the rest of us? did u use any reference? i would so like to learn how to do backgrounds like this, since bgs are my weak spot.

i havent seen the movie, but since it is mostly for kids, is it one of those movies where everyone runs around with swords, but they never actually stab someone. they always hurt the the enemy with the hilt of the sword, or kick the enemy, but never actaully use the blade, since that would mean blood?

i always laugh at that. and when kids are wearing armour. dont know how they are suppose to stand up with all those weight.  ;D

i like the moments where roberta actually thought up something original and didnt go and steal all the fables and legends and myths of other writers for her games.

:P

buloght, that pic of gawain is perfect!

i think the facial expression is perfect, since if you the effort to actually go look at the original painting, you'dd see why he is scared.

i also think his face and "pauldron" is exactly right. it seems to me ure not going for realism here. more a stylistic approach. and i think u did it perfectly. the wider face and shoulders give them more power. its like the warhammer people do it with the armour.

personally, i think sir gawain is the best of the 3 sprites. awesome. oh, and remember to add an ear.  ;D

i aggree with buloght. this is such a cool community because people are here for the love of making adventure games, and not for the love of money. dont ruin that. im also one of those people who people who probably needs the money, since i dont have a job, but i refuse to make anything commercial unless im working for a games company and this was actually my job. (and im not good enough, hehe)

but i prefer to keep it a hobby.

theres a lot of free games that looks much better than the commercial ones. it also seems like every 2nd 3d game is commercial. why, i dont know? have u seen todays standards of commercial 3d games? we are past the time when any 3d game can be sold, look at stuff like final fantasy. 3d should be an art form. not just boxes with textures on.

this is now officially my favourite AGS game. it kicked apprentice 2 out of 1st place. i like apprentice animation, but this game has got everything, where apprentice 2 lacks a bit in puzzles and gameplay and dialogues. so, new number 1 for me. (apprentice still number 2, though.)

awesome job.

awesome game!

the graphics are outstanding. im really jealous of ure graphics. they're so beautifully painted, and the colours are great. and the sprites just fits perfectly. dialogue are funny and well written, and the puzzles (those ive done thus far) are logical. the graphics make me feel as if im playing an old lucasarts game.

one of my favourite ags games this year, and prob of all time, and ive played a lot of ags this year.

if you decide to make a medium/full length game, ull own this community.  ;D

(Although I forsee people asking me why its not commercial).

hehe, people might see that as a bit arrogant. haha.

anyway, looks really nice. i like the last screnie the most with the planet/moon in the background with the glow. has a really nice feel and atmosphere to it.

i did a quick paintover. i dont have any exp with painting caves, nor underwater, so dont know how correct it is.

changes:
1. i redid the tunnel.
2. made the wall look more cave-like (hopefully)
3. made it bluer to make it look more underwater.
4. the background: from what i can tell, when in water, the further you go the lighter it gets. ures is the otherway round. also, blur is a nice way to show depth of field. but, since ure pic use clean pixels, i tried making it pixelated. not sure if i was successful. i dont think this will fit in with ure style. so, maybe keep it the way you had, but make it go from dark (close) to light, not like you have it, the other way round.
5. added cracks.

edit: oh, btw, i really like ure style, and cant wait for ure game!  ;)

Thanks nikolas. I had it straight, but it just seemed a bit boring.
