Probably better if you don't put a line in your stalagmites base etc, because they don't really look that way.  It just makes them seem like they're lamp bases or something.

Works better with the second version, but still too boring, too lined up.  Make the tv/couch deal not be aligned with the room.   Maybe make a half circle couch instead, and have it off slightly to the side.  Looks like a crappy apartment to me :p  And I know, that in crappy apartments, the floors never look that nice!

I dunno, good look with it though!

This may sound really awful to your ears, but I did a quick mod to it.  Personally I think it sounds much more rich and exciting now, but that's just me.

Anyway, I think something like that would really help your recording....

Freaking great song.  ^^ nicely put together.  Reason eh? I use FL, never ever had a chance to mess around in Reason...but if the songs turn out this nicely, maybe I shall have to get around to it.

It's pretty tough to critique this.  If it's just something you want to slap on some game, ok.  Otherwise, I dunno.  The rhythm is all choppy and it hurts my ears to strain to understand it.  Seems a bit loose and lacks direction in my opinion.  Also the note combination at 0:25 doesn't work at all, I'd change it.  Just my thoughts...

I also think it looks excellent.  ^^ I really like the color on the bottles in the front.

i had been making this exact kind of game based on lifeforce.  i got pretty far but couldn't get shot fire to work the way i wanted it to.  i'll have to give this a look-see.

I love them too.  But, if I were to critique it at all, I'd want to see small hints of other color here and there just to break up the blue.  The yellow helps, but only to some degree.  My opinion and I'm probably wrong =]

tribal:
only crit is that maybe some tribal chanting - something or other..a melody? the squeaky thing towards the end is good but maybe vary the note it hits to be a melody of sorts.  Otherwise it's just a bunch of drum drums pound pound thunka thunka.  that's good...but boring imo.  and the tone of the one drum...moving up and down, seems too mechanical.  anyway, I do like it and think you did a great job!

bread crumbs:
i actually think this is quite catchy.  great job! the simple two tone repeating thing towards the end is what amazing songs are made of.  So subtle, but beautiful.  And when the main melody repeats above it, that just makes it cooler!

and all background music should be catchy...otherwise just slap whatever you want back there and it doesn't matter.  it probably even matters more, because while you do the motions of playing a game or watching a scene or whatever, the music is on and on, and if it stinks it will drag on you.  Slowly, silently....drag and drag till you want to scream and your head bursts.   :)

I liked him better without the patches.  That's just ridiculous.  If you invisioned (i haven't read the book or anything) him with torn clothes hunting desperately for food, then that's what he should have on.  Some people go to interviews with torn clothes, so I can see him hunting in them.  Anyway, yah the original was very straight and awkwardly perfect.

ah acoustic rock.  good stuff, quite a bit repetitive for my tastes, but still good.  the voice range doesn't appeal to me, so it's not your fault.  good singing.

i think with a second guitar part that was interesting and simple, and definetly some vocal harmonies above your range, I'd gravitate to it more.  But that's ok, nicely done!

Hmm I see what you're saying about that.  I will try a variation on the rhythm and see what that sounds like.  Yah 320 was a bit extreme, I was half asleep when I went for that.  The bell synth is not the greatest, and maybe if it was more subtle it wouldn't stand out so much.  Or maybe I will remove the bells and try something else.  Thanks Nikolas!

Hey.  This is a piece of music from my upcoming project, Deadlands: California.  Deadlands pertains to the world of Novellice that I've created.  The animated film is far off, so I decided to have some fun with concept stuff by making a game of it in AGS.  This track will play after Mikal steps out of C15 and into the Deadlands, a war-cursed future image of California.

Anyway, enough info.  Go to the page below and scroll down till you find the link to the song entitled Out Of C15 And Into Hell (it's second to last atm).  Feel free to critique!

ok i took too long with this, but it was very different than what i usually write.

my version of your intro:
anime intro

i added another part, to add variety i guess.  then a 3 bar turn around at the end so it comes back into the main piece.  anyways i hope this gives you ideas and if not well it was fun to doodle with.  unfortunately i didn't really change keys or anything but that is never necessary to make good music.

beautiful song.  i'd like to hear some second melody though towards the end over the first melody.

F-lydian sounding to me, really like it.  Though, it doesn't move enough.  I'll show you what i mean in a bit.

i love this style and the grass and hedge are fantastic imo.

the colors are great for the choice of sky cover and the nice day it appears to be.  very bright.  it does kind of look strange to not have a front window, but that's ok...future people don't like light ;)

Rendering:
- the perspective is too agressive (you can see 5 walls out of 6 - your focal length is too small), also why is the right wall's surface greater than the left one, if you are directly facing the far wall?
- don't use black outlines
- put in a light source and shade accordingly
- using less colors will make your life easier

Good suggestions for filling the room, thanks for that.

1. Different point of perspective is why the walls look that way.
2. I will add a light source, must have forgot.
3. Less colors? I like color. :)

useful trick, didn't know that one.

This is a very basic room, I'm just starting to play around with this stuff again and I'm having a bit of trouble filling this thing in.  I know I want to add a chair and some garbage, possibly a broken window.  And yes, my art is lackluster.

So I guess, I've just been looking at it for an hour now wondering what to do next.  The doors don't mean anything, they're just there to help me size-figure things out.  Another problem I had was with the table, how does it look? How is the perspective? Is it horrible? Is it ok? Thanks for the feedback!
