Heh, well I have Cakewalk SonorXL but never installed it.  I currently like using Cakewalk Guitar Studio.  :) Well it works for me, one day I will install CSXL and review it.

Every single US from Japanese conversion was done poorly.  I haven't seen any game with actual dialogue in it that wasn't done poorly.  I've seen everything from let's talk in all capital letters to let's cut out vital storyline because we can't get it to 'fit'.  Pretty much just sucks but then that's why there's the Whirlpool. ^^

It says I'm 16% gay...but to be fair, I think I should add about 10% just for the fact I bothered to take that quiz.  Yup, penalty +10%. ^^

Yup exactly.  But, being from California myself, I know how gay people think(no offense to gay people), and as such easily scored a low number.  Is it necessary to redecorate right away? Come on that was a bit obvious.

Well in that case I shouldn't have been giving my thoughts on the demo itself... I guess I was a little confused as to which part you wanted me to reflect on, so I just tried to reflect on my experience with it.  :) Yah it's character animation speed, boost that baby waaay up.

Hey it was just some suggestions & opinions, exactly what you asked for. I gave you what you asked for, so don't start complaining about what I said.  I wasn't saying it was bad in anyway.  

As for the resolution & slider, I should have mentioned that I was already using the lowest resolution with the slider all the way up.  You could probably tweak your animation/character speeds.  I think that would make the demo more playable.  As for comparing it to Tierra games, my Tierra games run much faster than this demo does.  So that's all I was saying. :)

Yes I played Space Quest 2.  The suggestion was simple: If you redo the backgrounds, why not redo the boring guis - etc without simply ripping them out of SQ4.  So sure for one screen it seems like SQ2.  Then, it seems like SQ4 since that's where you got your stuff.

Again, you wanted criticism & opinions and that's what you got.  I do like demos & remakes, and will continue to download them thanks :)

A sample of him saying what? What does he sound like? Is he brilliant, stupid, oafish, dorky, what? Give me a description and something he might say.  What kind of emotions is he experiencing when he speaks? Any? Is he happy? Sad? Mad as hell? Confused(maybe he's always confused...) lol.  ?? ^^ Cuz I gotta have some direction.

Just curious, what is the point of this thing? I went from the first room to the EGA room and that's about all I could stand cuz it's so slow.  On a 450mhz computer, this is pathetically slow.  I'm not sure if it's cuz your animations are going so slow or what...but if you would squeeze some more speed into it, I'd give it more time.

Other than that for the short time it 'seemed' like SpaceQuest simply cuz you have the same interfaces and such.  

One thing I should mention is that all the remakes out there are good, but you're remaking it, not copying it, why do you insist on using the same interface(even the icons are the same), puzzles, etc...?? I just don't get it is all & this is not really directed at you. I think every remake out there except KQ2 bores me(referring to all remakes even the Sierra ones).  That's probably why I prefer originals & fan-games so much.  :) Why don't you make SpaceQuest: The Mop Series? About training to become a janitor...come on that has to be a funny series...how the heck did he even land THAT job? ^^

Hobbes: I think you should definetly do something action-oriented.  Not that I don't love adventure, cuz I do, but when I want to play a game QFG is always looked at before the plain adventure.  That's my personal preference, but unless the puzzles are innovative, they just get boring without some kind of a break.  Hey it doesn't even have to be sword-slashing it could be a parappa the rapper dance sequence...LOL. ^^

Exactly my thoughts.   That's why my collection may appear insignificant or whatever, heh but what can I do? ^^

redRum: I changed the layout slightly.  I hope it's not so crampish now.  Also make sure you're using at least 1024x768 resolution cuz that's what I have it for(I think most people have that now...).  You don't have to make it fullscreen, but you really will get alot more out of it when it's expanded big.

Also I've worked on some seriously HUGE web-databases before(^^ think evil rom translations), and the nav should work good.  :) Have faith!  Hm but you know what? I think it lacks color.  Very dark eh? I will work on it.

Well I know this may not be the best solution for you. But I mirror my character, so that all his stuff is opposite.  For example switch the bag's position, make the hands face the other way(and flip them!), draw the back of the head over the face instead of having the face there.  That's a pretty good behind view(oh don't forget the feets & knees!).

As for the left & right views, those are harder at first but in the end you can do the same thing with one of those views like you do with the front/back views.  In the end you just really have to work on making the character look right in a facing/side view.  The rest is just a boring but easy process(to me it is).

Why stop collecting? Two collectors are better than one. :) Do you like the site layout I have? It's not something I put immense amounts of thought into, except for the fact that the code is probably mostly certified.  Also, it could use some extra backgrounds for effect, but I haven't gotten around to hunting for good ones.
