Yo Eric, I've got a gif version for ya.  I changed her skin tone some & the hair color as well.  This is the red version only, I didn't bother to redo all the colors.

For Dagooh, yah I think the hairline was a bit too high.  How does it look now with the different hair color? I think it lacks realism with the yellow hair, but it just seemed to be too light.

My biggest problem are the pixels & how unfriendly they are at this size.  Oh well can't do much about it. Lemme know what ya think about the changes! ^^

Heh, that's obviously some sort of billboard poster thing, it's not the door....the door is right next to the goldfish...come on it's plain to see!  :o :o :o Tonight the smilies revolt! ;)

Hmm, can't help much with Delphi, I've always just used Visual C++ myself.  I bet if you were more specific I could help you solve your problem.  If you have AIM my screenname is MadGnome78.

I'll get back to the AGS stuff in a few & see if I can come up with more ideas for your program. :) Peace

Wow those are fantastic! Wish I had an artist like you around to fix all my garbage heh. :) Smiles are good.   ;D

There's some bad karma going around I think. Anyway look the perspective is not the most important thing, also it's your very first game.  So don't sweat it. :)

Now, I made a quick example based off your room that should give you some ideas on your next drawing that might make you smile & say 'gee wow' when you're doing it. Maybe not, but I hope it makes things clearer.  Also, I'm no perspective expert either, but this link has a tutorial I found useful. I hope it helps, peace!

Well there's just no telling what the character is like, it's just an image...

Later on I'll develop some really fun animations & hopefully people will dig it.  I gotta make a guy main character as well, but one thing at a time. :) Thanks for the input!

Oo oo I know I just posted a few minutes ago but ooo this is a good improvement or two for ya:

Ok so there we have a little more contrast for the dress itself. I think it's better this way, what do you all think?

Blorf starts out his spork-quality adventure by drawing...YAY characters! Heh, ok so here's my dilemma. I'm making this game, and well as it turns out, I needs a character! So I got this girl here, and sort of sketched her out a thousand million times, scanned till my motor broke, and I'm still going ARGH! Can you help me at all?

The original version.

With glasses & different facial levels.

I think the face is my biggest problem, but there's certainly others as well. I'm shooting for semi-realism, in an artsy sort of way. If that makes any sense at all.  Help help! :)

Thanks Jason, I couldn't tell ya though as this is my first game etc...I wasn't going for scary, I was just going for not-so-terrible style. :)  Hope it comes out good, but only time will tell.

As for your program, I think it's insanely awesome and you need to continue working on it.  Not only is it a faster reference tool, it's really nice to be able to implement a function from the dropdown menus and such.  What is the game memo for? Just curious I haven't played with it yet.  Maybe you should include some documentation with the software(like a manual) & maybe some examples of what can be done with it and how it could be used to a user's advantage.... I really don't know it's your program I barely started using it.

:) But, ahhh it's amazing!

Well scaling would probably work, though it would seem that on the second floor the character's height would be wrong if I scaled him down.  I'll have to look into scaling then. =) Thanks for the advice!

Well so far work is coming along on this background rather nicely, and I've gone away from the incorrect sketch.  This is much better I think, and I've added some shades/shadow whatever it's called.  At least I tried to anyhow. :)

This is still in 640x480, but due to the slowness of the program I'll be converting it to 320x240.  One problem I am having is that the characters seem so small, and once they arrive on the 2nd floor, their heads get cut off! Heh.  But if you make them the size of say - ROGER, then they seem like midgets in a Giant's house.  At 320x240, what is the typical height of a character(compared at say 5'10).  Is it better to just shrink the background and addon to it? That's a pain in the butt :(

Anyway here is the new image:

Why yes they are windows! :) Sorry I was going to mention that but it was REALLY late when I decided to throw the images up on the forum.

Do you notice the very lowest bar & the bar that follows it from the second floor? Well originally the room flows backward(underneath the stairs)...the bars both stop and do not flow to the left as I have it.  They'd flow back into the wall, I should probably change it back.

I like the top floor and how it leads off to the left, though, because the large living room of the house will be on the screen to the left.  In that room the top level will bend out and disappear in a tunneled stone hallway.  Heh, but in that room the stairs are much further back....leading me to guess that my stairs are heading in the wrong direction(slightly forward instead of fading back much more).  Anyway you get the idea.

Today is a new day so I'll hopefully have some fresh insight...either that or I'll end up working on something completely different. Thanks for the tips!

Yo! Ok so I'm really new to this stuff, and therefore would appreciate any comments, suggestions, ideas whatever for this background.  :) So far, I really like it but the colors are putting me off and so are some of the lines/detail(lack of).

Alrighty, so here's the color and the plain version as well.  Both are 640x480 images.

Hey that's amazing! If I had any skill such as this, I'd be somewhere already with my game. Heh.  I made a simple pencil style sketch of a house, road, stairs, etc... and as it turns out, my character is now GIANT sized.  :( Oops.

Since nobody else has yet mentioned this, I will do so as my very first post.  In this release, in the About window, it states the date of creation as July.  This is an August release?  Just thought I'd give a heads up. :) Peace,
