General Discussion / Re: Sexuality issues
Tue 01/05/2007 22:07:18
Some people say that they think things like gay marriage is wrong because of their believes. Is your believe theirs? Should they be bothered about what the heck you think? I think not. Personally I think it's great that here in Holland such things as gay-marriage are possible.

Also I'm surprised about the amount of bullcrap given as arguments by the 'against' side. Worldpeace starts with yerself, with respecting one another. Respecting one's sexuality is a big part of that ain't it?

Download Virtual Dub:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.17.zip?download

When you've dragged the movie in there, just go and use the save as image sequence option.

I didn't have problems with turning to face directions or turning before walking, at least I think I didn't. I vaguely remember some problems with it but I figured something out. But I can't remember, so sorry 'bout that :-\

Its a cable used for connecting printers.

Possibly other things, but not as far as I know.

Printers and really old scanners I think.

Milkshape allows you to import quake 2 and 3 models. (md2 and md3 files) And this plugin can use milkshape files (ms3d) So yes, you can use quake 2 and 3 model types. Not too sure about quake 1 files though.

Critics' Lounge / Re: 3d teeth and UVW

This is how it works with max payne 2 models:

I use the same technique, just add the teeth texture somewhere in your texture. So everything is in one image.
Let's say your skin texture is 256*256 and your teeth texture 128*128, then just create an image of say 512*512 place both images in there and remap so you can place everything in one image file. Like this:

Size is not close to 256 and 128... bear with me

I know I sound vague, but it works. Also the only way (known to me) how you can play around with the textures, like bumpmapping while still able to animate, when your model and animation get imported from Milkshape to 3DS Max.

If I'm correct you want to use the Character3D plugin, why else would someone try to export an .emd file... If this is the case you can also use the .ms3d format for Char3D, which is the normal Save-format for Milkshape.
But to answer your question; No, milkshape can't export an .emd file.

One of the few games that makes you feel you really are using/moving objects in the game. And that for a homebrew.

I think the main problem is the way the vertexes are set out in the front view, in the side view it looks great but the front view kind of messes up the realistic look of the side view.
I don't know if you use any kind of reference, but I use photo referencing myself, but still find it very hard to get the front view exactly right...
Anyway I think it looks pretty good, could you perhaps show us the model without the texture, it kind of looks like it's out of allignment by the mouth?

That looks awesome Ice, and yes I know. I've bought a new PC a little while ago, so no more 20 crashes a day for me. I've just installed my program again and I'll work on it when I get back from work. Something will get done today! ;)

Find yourself a .gif animation program, trow in your frames. Save the .gif, upload the .gif and voila. There are loads of programs out there, don't know a free one of hand though.

At first I thought it was the same as the original, but it wasn't. I think you really did a good job at capturing the Silent Hill feeling, nice one keep it up!
