Even allowing it to be changed at run-time (if it isn't currently) would be enough for a work around.

I have an expensive tablet because it has the pressure sensitivity, tilt sensitivity, and reliability that I want. The cheaper models are usually unreliable, I know, I had one. Though I got mine for about half of its worth through clever eBaying.

As for the software, Paintshop Pro is quite cheap, especially compared to Photoshop. I like it mostly due to familiarity with it after using the demo years ago. But it has all the functionality I need and I like the interface. I tried GIMP but hated the interface. I'll re-emphasise that better software doesn't lead to better drawing, it's really about convenience during the creative process.

I use Paintshop Pro, just because it's what I'm used to really. Legal copy, too. Using more advanced software won't make you better at drawing though. Infact, the lure of easy cheats like gradients, textures and filters will probably hinder your artwork significantly until you break through it.

I have an A5 Wacom Intuos2 which I use for everything, I don't use a mouse anymore.

It was definitely 256 colour, infact Bill Tiller mentions it in the interview.

I tend to do the item thing anyway, though I think I'll try constantly restarting conversations until I get the right response.  :=

I think he's asking about being able to change the items in an in-game shop over the internet.

Look up the TCP/IP plugin, I don't know how to use it, but it probably can do this.

Not strictly helpful, but it might save you some time later because other people will ask this too. Why do you need to copy the room at all? You could just continue working in the copy of your game with the finished room.

I find it easier to write code that doesn't work than to read code that does.

Don't forget to check about those "liquids" and stuff you can bring on the plane. Had to take my carry-on luggage back cause I forgot I had a swiss knife in the backpack (I left it there after some trip before that).

My girlfriend has flown on planes with, to name but a few: razor blades, scissors, a cigarette lighter (on two occasions), and some nail polish. None of which were noticed or removed by security.

Flying out of Belfast once, she was asked if she had any makeup, then remembered to put the her nail polish into those little plastic bags. She's forgotten to remove scissors on three seperate occasions and had them confiscated each time. Also, a bottle of water, though I pointed this one out to her right before the security gate ("Aren't you forgetting something?"). It's worth pointing out that none of these hindered her getting her flight in any way.

This reminds me of a much better story, her mum was moving house and flying there with a lot of her stuff. She didn't have room in her suitcases for all her luggage, so she ended up taking all of her kitchen knives in her hand-luggage. The security guard just stared at her, and after a few seconds said, "You can't take these on a plane." They still let her fly, though. I'd always presumed they'd be a lot more strict about detaining you after something like that.

That may be the best thing I've ever heard, Prog.

Additionally, my problems with my Belkin router started unpredictably after several months of faithful service. You might try bringing it back to the shop, it should still be under warranty.

Belkin 54g!

I had one of those for a while. I suffered from random dropouts of internet and not LAN. The internet would just disconnect and I'd have to restart the router. Your problem is that your router is a Belkin. All my problems were solved when I got a new one. I got the one that o2 gives out for free, but I've heard good things about Netgear too.

I'd like to see The Wire.

A little mental exercise I like to do is imagine what ProgZ or loominous (Or Opo, god rest his zombie bones) would do to improve it. I try to visualise the improved version, then make changes to make it happen. Identifying exactly WHY it doesn't live up to your expectations is half the battle.

Is it paramount to every game to be Politically Correct?

Absolutely not.

Political correctness is a non-solution to a non-problem.

That's all that really needs to be said.

In my opinion the desire is not a crime, and whilst sexual assault is a crime, it's not the worst crime and shouldn't carry a punishment of life imprisonment, savage beating, and unending recriminations.

Reading some of the suggestions of people for fit punishments for sex offenders leaves me wondering if they can hear themselves calling someone else a sick criminal.

They also wanted occasional interference effects, which obviously would just have been too difficult to do. Back to Earth had a few of them.

If this is how AGS would treat paedophiles, I'd hate to see how they'd treat lynch mobs.
