General Discussion / Re: NES or SNES?

What a silly reply.
You seem to miss out

Mario.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Captain Planet.

Need I go on? You really can't base a console choice on one game. How silly would that be.

If you wanted to try out the games you could head over to http://www.everyvideogame.com

a great uploader is iMesh. it's P2P, but they welcome freeware as well.

Erm, did you read the thread?

Increator, nice one, I think there is a way to check the filesize before its uploaded and present the user with an error if it is too large, I will look into it when I get home from college.

I had a NES and a Mega Drive, personally I loved them both.Ã,  If I had to pick SNES or Mega Drive, I'd pick Mega Drive. NES or mega drive... NES probably.

hmm, you mean like room grouping? I could probably add that, it will also be good to add a feature like that for the puzzle planner.

Hey all,

For the past few weeks I have been working on a small application to aid in the design of games, since this is my first attempt at making a sizable functioning application I have designed to release it a chuck at a time, get one part fully working and then move onto the next, this way I shouldn't get swamped with bugs.

Currently the program features a room planning system partly designed by m0ds.

m0ds wanted this section to look like a sort of story board, I don't have experience of storyboards, so I just winged it!  I think what I ended up with could be pretty useful.  It has the option to import an image or even draw a fresh one in the basic paint program included - SPaint:

It also allows you to write information about the room, and which rooms ajoin it using the area to the lower of the form.

You can download the current version here

If you do, please feel free to leave feedback or if you find bugs PM me or post here.
Thanks,

that game is pretty good. Its a fan base for sites such as ymntd.com you have to worry about.

wouldn't it make much much more sense to post on a forum about the program? Or even one related to digital video editing?

Ok, first, instead of using 4 periods there is a key one to the left.  This key produces a comma, this is what you are looking for most of the time when you use "....." in your posts.

Second, in the story, when a new person talks you should start a new line.
You shouldn't use a stupidly large font just to make your work seem longer, size 10 - 12 is enough.  The story contains no paragraphs and in its current lack of formatting is pretty hard to read and understand.

Also what are you talking about doing something wrong? Who said this thread was wrong?

Yes, might help to go and check before posting that it doesn't  ::)
#351
Anyway,  it says where the button used to be "Use the Room menu for Room Operations". Import backgrounds is under that.
#352
Press Tab, no hidden button :P
#353
kind of 50/50 ::)

I and to some extent mods have been working on an application that allows you to organise rooms in a story board fasion, I think M0ds plans to use it for FoY and hopefully it will be ready for release soon.

The spelling problem is the only real bad thing :/ The rest is writers freedom like everyone said.

bumping your post as it goes off the end of the page isn't against the rules afaik.

Anyway, with the story you really need to read it yourself and correct alot of things that don't make sense.  For example they were captured by the enemy, yet they one of their pet dogs with them.

Btw, Rui. That comment wasn't really directed at you :P I was just commenting.
#359
Um, what was that comment about flukeblake?

Also, I have no interest. But being caught with it isn't the same and being caught "red handed", never heard of a plant? :P
