well, after searching 'change player character' and clicking on the very first thing in the list and then skiming over the list of commands in the help entry I found
SetPlayerCharacter (CHARID)

took what, 30 seconds :/

btw: I did already know this command I just wanted to see how much he actual searched the manual.

how much RAM etc. have you got? Its more likey a problem with your PC than that you have made the game too big for AGS to handle, since it can handle ALOT (see System Limits in the manual)

I like the original other than the tunnel doesnt look right, I think it needs some shading.

Idle view is what plays when the character is standing still for a certain pre-set ammount of time, not sure when blinking plays, I think you have to script it too.
