there is a walk around, I think :/, say you had 5 save slots, make the game:
Save the game to the 6th slot
Load the game you want to copy
Save it to the new slot
Load the 6th slot again.

if you aren't all that brilliant at art, you COULD use the skipping style and make a game for the younger people. The style would suit (I kind of like the boy walk cycle) and with a little adaption the story could be a good one for such a game.

use the interactions editor to put a:

conditional 'if inventory item was used'

under

'player uses inventory on character'

and then under the coniditional make a

'Game - Display a Message' (remember to make the message in the message editor and set the speaker to the character.)

then add a

'player - goto new room (at specific x y)'

and set it up so it goes to the correct room and co-ords

option-off does that.

option-off just means it CANT be turned on by option-on, probably for if theres like, more than 1 way of turning it on (for the player that is)

have this as the only option that is on at first, then the character will auto-say this. at the end of the option toggle this one off and the rest on.

I think that it lifts the character off of the group, meaning that it ignores walk zones. So yes, you could create a jump effect without alot of toggling walkable areas.

take the one from the default Inventory GUI and just assign them to the buttons in your GUI.

I think the only thing you need to do is make sure you use
MoveCharacterBlocking(..);
This will make sure that the character has finished the move before continuing with the script. Other than that putting the commands in the order you want should be good enough.

Btw, you could just set the status line to pop-up modal and never have it pop up.
