wellp... been a while and this really isn't the place for this but i was wondering what people thought of this:

about 5.5 hours estimated, i took a break for tv and dinner and lost track. thanks to pesty for enduring version after version of "i moved 3 pixels, does it look better?!?!" questions

Completed Game Announcements / Raw Drawing

wellp, here's a little thing i made about a year ago for the Demo Quest 2 project that Darkstalkey destroyed

it was to demonstrate the awesomeness that is rawdrawing

you start in room 3, just teleport to room 1 and 2 for other things.

follor the directions and i think the first room's transitions go all the way up to 0

and someone tell me how the hell i imported an image as perfect black...

also, if anyone wants the source i'll try and find it but it won't be easy

This was brought up a while ago and I just wanted to mention it again

continuous scaling for other directions like left right up down



just a suggestion on how it could be added to the gui. just click the arrow in the direction you want it to shrink and voila.

personally i would use this quite a bit and it could effect the future design of some games [as in layout of backgrounds] in very interesting ways.

hello there

so i have a bit of code set up to handle my footsteps

// begin footsteps

footsteptype = GetRegionAt(character[EGO].x,character[EGO].y);

if (character[EGO].frame==3){
 PlaySound(footsteptype);
 }
if (character[EGO].frame==6){
 PlaySound(footsteptype+1);
 }

// end footsteps


everything works fine except for movecharacterblocking commands, no sound is played

so is their a better way that i'm not seeing or is this a suggestion?

any help is much appreciated

hello

my name is eric and i have a problem

so i used runagsgame and i compiled both games with the new ags and when i run it and it goes to the new ags game whenever there is displayspeech it stops

it doesn't freeze cause the music still plays and alt x still works but the talk animation doesn't play either

odd

if i hit alt x it tells me that it was stopped on the line for displayspeech

if i play the game i'm running as a seperate game, it runs fine

that's about it

any ideas?

just a little note, if you hit cntrl z as your first key stroke going into the script editor is erases everything

okey doke so i've been plopping around in ags for a few years now and finally decided to learn how to use tiled sprite import

i find it very confusing and i'm never quite sure what is going on so i tried to set up a system and so far it works, except...

when i set up a sprite sheet i usually set it up so the top left image is the first image in the animation moving to the right and then down again like this:



so if i try to import it with tile import it imports fine but it chooses the top image then the one below that then the next one then the one below that and so on

so either i'm suggesting that ags tile import chooses the order to import better, or i'm bringing up a bug

but i'm mostly suggesting a reworking of the tile import cause it's a tad bit confusing

or am i just doing it all wrong?

Yea I've been making this little AGS game for going on 2 years now and I finally got around to making the introduction for you all to watch.

I hope you enjoy it, I have mills to thank like 12303 times because he rocks the house. I needed music and he made it in like 2 days.
