And that is why you'll never get to heaven...

Also, you must not be able to play a lot of AGS games
#1442
I'm sure no one would have any problem if you used them, have a ball!

I moved this because it's not an AGS game but an AGI game...

However the art looks awesome... I just wish he didn't haven a Geocities account, plus when you linked to the geocities site it probably totally killed his bandwidth, not very nice to do.

Convince him to post about it here! I'm always interested in AGI games

it's just a 15 frame walk cycle that was knocked down from 30.. I didn't really take a second look at it but yes, I own that book and it's the king

I had the same problem, Fluke, I had to add the site and its IP to the hosts file of my computer...

If you don't know what that means I'd wait for someone who can explain it better than me to stumble along [i.e. Barbarian]

Here's a 3d dude I animated a while ago... could use this I guess... He's at 15 frames now but you could shave him down more I suppose...

I took them down to 8 as a test and they would work fine for tracing I think

http://kafkaskoffee.com is my new site

you could record your own walk cycles, or use poser and trace that, but it would need tweeking since poser walk cycles tend to float on tip toes and have no weight to them.

Why not ask the person that made prodigal?

Apparently the test tells me I'm a robot...

Pff... I coulda told it that...

I just THINK them off...

This is from Ken!

Hi,

Sludge is a viable tool if you would like to use it. The one catch is that you must use the free version of Sludge.

We decided that because college students come from different means. It would be unfair for students who cannot afford a copy of flash, or perhaps would be at a disadvantage because their college does not provide tools (which some colleges do.)

Also yes, the Jam is for any University, although the time that the competition starts and ends cannot be different for each college so plan ahead how you need to schedule your weekend so that you can make the deadlines. If you have any other questions I am happy to answer them.

I didn't know you were talking about your own engine, since he's speaking of AGS which can't do what your engine can do.

Hehe yea, same here, I can't participate and the dude running it sits behind me at work!

Well, I mean, you COULD, it's not like they'll be checking IDs but... Either way!

If you say so...

The game isn't a shooter and 10 years ago there were tons of action games so I don't see why this would have been an adventure game.

Zombies don't usually run around solving puzzles and having dialog with townspeople trying to solve an ancient evil, zombies usually run around and kill people...

As far as the trailer, it's quite cute, but that's just personaly preference.

Also, while the game is kind of repetative, it is not stupid. You haven't even played it.

I think what he means by sprite pages is what some game companies do is, you give them a sprite sheet and through code the program grabs portions of it to make an animation. Usually they look like film strips

Instead of me having to split it up. the program does.

It's handy if you want to do a quick colour replace or something but personally I think GIF import is the single best feature ever for things like this.

There is a 2 day [48 hour] game making competition that will be going on, well check the link here:

http://gamedev.acm.cs.rpi.edu/projects/contest/spring06gamejam

It's for people in college or one year out of college and this dude I know at work is putting it on. He asked me if I knew of any other free engines and after thinking about it for half a second I posted here...

Now granted it's harder to make an adventure game in 48 hours that is of any worth but you don't have to use AGS just cause you're from AGS... I know there are a lot of people who use various other engines here and maybe you'd be interested so there you go!
