zooty, snow/rain plugin rain falls down right? Well if you're looking down on a map which way would snow/rain plugin rain fall?

It would look like it's falling horizontally across the earth.

which AGS are you using?

here is an animated GIF that you can import right into the new ags, how does it look?

well, first thing I had to realize was that the order they give you the cups in is not the order that they show you the solution to

1 down 2 up 3 down is where the solution starts and the opposite is how they give it to you, but getting it to be like the solution is hard/annoying

Zooty, nature finds a way!

As for my cat [who is totally cute], we can't get her to specifically scratch something, we have a scratching post but she just licks it, go figure...

The only thing I don't want her scratching is my compuer chair, the couch is from the salvation army so who cares... I'd also not recommend those thingies that you put on couches and such that protect from scratching, then you'll probably get lazy stopping her from scratching, knowing that the cover is protecting your sofa, and she'll just keep doing it forever and ever until the end of time.

Try Blender, it's free.

Also try the learning edition of Silo, it's free, or Gmod by 3d max, it's not good in the slightest but it'll get you used to max if you decide to use it

AGS uses bitmaps not vector based images so no matter what you do you're going to have to rasterize it.

What's the problem?

Please, don't double post, you can modify your first post by clicking the modify link in your post

also, why don't you render this out as a jpeg and then upload it, not everyone has flash and not everyone wants to download a .fla file just to give crit.

Ishmael, was that totally necessary?

Gilbert helped the person out, why did you need to insult them?

I didn't say it wasn't planned, but in my opinion there wasn't much need for it.

hehe I agree, the ending the 7das was good until the second ending popped up for no reason

and on the subject of the ending on RL&BAT I must ask for a walkthrough because the one on adventuregamers says to do something that doesn't work...

What's wrong with the ending? Haven't you always wanted to go into space for some reason?

Didja get the alternate endings and weapons?

I must agree that those tutorials are hideous.

But on the new art you posted, the first flat colour is great, the shading, not so much.

If you could work with different colours in the foreground and the background you could get away with flat colour, now it looks like she's sitting on his shoulder because the colours are so similar. Also pick a place for the light and make it very specific, this doesn't apply to ever bit of art but maybe when starting out trying to find your lighting groove it would help to be a little dramatic.

maybe?

How do you mean "tidy up" as in when drawing them or when scanning them?

If it's scanning then throw it into photoshop and slap a Levels layer on it, and, well here:

scanned art

levels, all the black on the right of the slider bars, that's your grey values which would usually be your paper and any shadow on the paper or texture, slide the white arrow over until all the grey is gone and if you want slide the black arrow over to darken your ink lines

This isn't the best example since it's so tiny but hey, this is what I had laying around from another scanning question someone asked.

What kind of shading advice would you be looking for? What kind of shading do you see on these characters?

Eric

oh and you wanted to see the comic I've been working on, there you go, there's a panel from it, ENJOY! hehe

oh and x 2 I highly recommend to you the Hellboy comics, if you haven't read them already, also if I suggested Tank Girl to you and you bought it then I'm sorry, but I think that was Rode...

But Hellboy is amazing and the art will blow you away and it's a different style of shading that you might appreciate.

No, what I mean is that Clex isn't around at the moment, not how old his posting was. He was traveling across country and who knows when he'll be back.
#1796
I also must agree on not working up to the minute with a comic

maybe it'd be fine for you but for me I like having a buffer so I don't have to start freaking out when it comes time to update.

For instance I have about 2 months worth of a web comic already done and has been done for a while but I won't post it until I have more... MORE!!

and when Time Out is finished...

lgm, clex has been missing for a month now so I'd send a PM or not wait on him to respond and find a review online

awesome games, except the lunar lander remake, can't figure out how to play it. But the other games are kick ass

Squinks, first: The art looks awesome

second: Look around at best buy or comp-usa or places like that for rebate offers, I got my first scanner for free because of all the rebates, and my second scanner was 70 dollars but I paid 20

[cleaning out the contributions thread, reposted by eric, originally posted by lo_res_man, thank you Steve]

It may be weird seen a hi res art teplate from ME, but here you go...

this is the VERY large( in IMAGE size not file size) verson that you first draw. it is done with the curve tool and the 2 line width marker for small details

and here it is after you copy it to Irfan view and did a 50%resize, with the RESAMPLE on.

Here is stage one of outer edge lighter colours removal, done inÃ,  ms-paint

and here is stage two. Almost done!

And here is the done sprite, perfact for uploading into AGS
NOTES.You MUST copy the double line image in a EVEN number image size. That uses the least colours. And allows you to do the one-two unwanted edging removelÃ,  the way I did.
AND here he is. M'Lud in Boxers! ;D
this is a template to show how i make hi res charactors, hope it helps.

did you ever go back to your first thread on finding a game?

and really I suppose you should use this thread when looking for games:
