If he's really that scared of someone stealing his music then he should never ever put his music on the internet

which means don't put it in a game. I can load up your game, record the music while the game is left on pause and there I've stolen it...

But what's more important is that he shouldn't really be that scared of people stealing his music, I don't think a single person has stolen the music Ghormak or Mills or anyone from agsforums has made for a game and used it in a big budget production

Just like no one has stolen our backgrounds or our sprites

By using the technique I told you a few posts ago I made this:

Just try it or post the image you're trying to do..

Oh snap! That reminds me of my greatest adventure game moment!

My friend and I were painting a house and there was a small bee hive under the lip of the roof and were like "EEEK! BEES!" and we ran around a little because we're pansies...

Then I took our ladder, set it up near the hive, tied a hose with a nozzle to the top rung, aimed it at the bees, locked the nozzle to ON and JET SPRAY. We ran back to the faucet the hose was hooked up too, hid behind some garbage cans and turned the faucet on full blast. It destroyed the hell out of the hive and all the bees inside it and we were able to continue painting in the 100 degree heat and get paid kind of ok for it...

um... Wee?

then use the brush tool
#1845
select the pencil tool, not the brush tool, click once, move the mouse and hold shift and click again, see how it draws a line?

Makes lots of little lines that make up a curve, very quick and easy

#1846
well... what kind of curve are you talking about? I can make all the curves I want without a tablet or the pen tool

Tablets for me aren't that good at making perfect curves anyway...

So if you elaborate we can help...

And if you're in a hurry don't post, wait till you have time to actually post...

I've broken into my house many times with various sticks around my back yard...

Then my parents got new windows and they weren't as easy to break into... So then I was kinda stuck...

When I was in highschool I had a large jacket pocket full of random things, an army man, a plastic snake, a small key and lock, some crayons, various peices of paper, a long bit of string, etc... I would have totally been set if any ghost pirates tried to steal my girlfriend!

Can I just ask one question?

Do you have a working mock up done where a ball bounces around and interacts with various objects with at least semi-realistic ball physics?

I just want to know if you're trying to figure out a very trivial part of a very complex thing to do in AGS. If so then rock on.

heyooo

Awesome sprites, Jeff Goldblum and Angelica Houston are awesome

Jess [my girlfriend] says "What no dog!!" and she demands you draw him...

Also, where is Steve's friend that gets eaten? And who's the red haired dude? It's been a while...

Also x 2:

Hudson Hawk is an amazing movie and I love it "Mario... Luigi... Ya' ok?" but Jess hates it so. So no, I would not agree that Andie MacDowell is in need of my hate.. Especially because she cowrote Hugson Hawk

If a character is not in the room and you make them speak, the text will appear in the last place they were, give it a try

there is also, in the manual SayAt which lets you place the text on screen in a certain spot.

Any of that help?

They look good to me, they don't look too much like the template to be  completely recognizable either.

The problems I have is with the shoulders on the 3 girl characters, they look really broken down, pull them up a little. The hair on the dude is great and I love the shading on his chest.

Also, the crotch on the dude and the girl in blue jeans is a little weird, the 2 pixels meeting like that is awkward, I don't remember what it looks like in the template but if I did that then I'll have to change it.

JetXL, I have it and it's absolutely horrible...

If you haven't played it you can't compare it to 7 Days A Skeptic, also if you haven't played it you really don't want too.

Hey there, I have been making a 256 colour game for a long time now and have many tricks up my sleeve

try this:

take the PCX, load it as a background, go to the palette editor, unlock all slots, relock all slots that don't have any of your colours in them. That works for me.

Who are you responding to?
#1855
I just wanted to say that while there are a few problems with the game [mostly knowing where one can walk off the sides of the screen] I loved this game, it was funny and had a lot of style.

I especially loved how the opening theme started in Midi and then went into full mp3 [or ogg, if you will]

I can't wait for more.

Does this help?

Also, as scummbuddy says, try using the search function first.

I apologize that I can't help you find how to make the music you are looking for, but I just want to say that the music in old AGI games is far far far from crappy.

I understand it is your opinion that awesome music created with very limited technology is crappy, but I just had to disagree completely with you.

Love,
Eric

I personally never use test game because it can cause problems, I just leave the compile folder open on my desktop and run the game from there, hitting test game doesn't really save me any more time than going "alt tab, click click"
#1859
That doesn't offend me, I was just saying.

But there is no need to train myself to any good level, there are already so many things I have to teach myself, music is not something of priority.

I'd much rather spend all of my time teaching myself how to be a better artist instead of dividing my time between art and music and be only a kind of good artist and a crappy musician.

What I will say is that there are tons of musicians on this board so there is plenty of opportunity to get someone to make an original soundtrack
