Ok, here we go, I need to know some stuff

If you're planning on coming to Mittens and not getting a ride on the Dave Gilbert Fun Bus and you're not Mills or Netmonkey... I need to know when you're planning on getting in...

STAT!

oh yea, everyone should bring something, something small that we can put on a shelf in my camp, my camp is like made of crap that washed up on the beach and bought at garage sales and such, we'll make a mittens wall

yes.

anyway, jungle is really hard to draw also, so I'd take that into consideration. At least it is for me.

What subject matter? It's an animal person. What's off putting about that?

Man why is everyone so mean lately?

and I don't know if you're kidding but Big Brother... I totally wouldn't expect that from you, is that any kind of critique of the work? Or did you just feel like putting someone down? http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=15031.40#msg185962 this should apply to every post not just ones that make your jaw drop...

Scavenger, it's very good and the only thing I think I'd do differently is try added shading to his face. it's all over his stomach and chest and arms but not his head. Maybe you tried and it looked bad but I think it'd pull his snout out more. He could be confused as a teddy bear as he is now i think.

Are you still working on a game? I remember you were going for Discworld style art last time and this is better than the Discworld art. That game had such... I dunno, they all looked like they were hastily made out of clay and they were poorly drawn. This isn't.

no you can do lasers and stuff in after effects

you can do a lot in it

http://www.creativecow.net/articles/aftereffects.html

no lasers in here but a lot of stuff you might find interesting and that might kick you in the right direction

I used after effects for a little while and i made a laser first thing, so it's in there, have you looked in the documentation?

I'd cover it with the object that will be animated of it all falling

much easier that way i think

I hope no one is allergic to cats, also...

And is anyone bringing a laptop?

No, the majority of you will be sleeping in beds, there's enough room with doubling up, for 10 people to sleep in beds

then there's room on the floor, we have a tent so no worries, there is a drive in nearby and if you want to bring a sleeping bag then go ahead, but there will be enough blankets

sometimes it gets chilly so pack a pair of pants and a warm shirt or something

Scid used to do reviews of AGS games at The Underdogs... But I suppose that doesn't help anyone...

I love adventure games with a passion

I don't think he doesn't like adventure games, Sutebi

and I don't see what's so bamboozling about the questions I asked you.

I didn't call you any names or anything, I'm just asking, what is your definition of old style.
#2233
I had no problem playing I have no mouth, but if you do try a program called DOS Box

now if by adapted you mean that you want to make it better, then I'd play it. A lot of the puzzles were really sucky and there was no point to anything.

But still it is pretty ambitious, good luck!

Well, first

I've never heard anyone say that Lucasarts' old adventures had crappy graphics but anyway

I guess I just have to ask, what is your definition of old style? 2d? Point and click?

I'm just confused. I mean people buy all types of games all the time there are tons of 2d games that sell a lot and are not adventures.

Also, maybe people would buy them because there aren't any other adventures out there.

General Discussion / Re: Everything...is GONE!

Are you sure it's gone?

There are places that can retrieve lost data from a laptop that was in a fire, I don't see how a guy on a phone can tell you all the data is gone.

Look for data retrieval places to send the harddrive too, it might be pricey...

Ok CJ and everyone else coming from over seas, PM me and I'll PM the address to you, s'ok?

This may be a very important thing! So it must be done!

I don't really have a full list of people that are coming because there are still a lot of maybes, Dave Gilbert would have the best list I'm sure since a lot of the americans are all "waa, I have to spend money.. poo poo"
#2238
And now it's just one small step to FOY being shut down by Lucasarts, hooray!

Can we stick to the topic people? Thank you.

Tanker, so this is not for an AGS game?

Also, do you know how big a project this would be? Do you know any programming languages?
