am i forgetting something about AGS or is there no antialiasing of the sprites with it checked in winsetup?

hey there, first suggestion, i recommend adding a "nudity" to your subject to stop people from clicking when they don't really want to view a nude 3d woman [like at work]

secondly:



the proportions are pretty good except for a few things, the feet are too long I think and the shoulders could be dropped a bit, the butt is quite saggy and could use a little lift [not cause "Women should have firm butts!" but because the butt you have now looks awkward] the butt crack could be shortened a touch and the hands look long but they probably aren't so pay no mind to that arrow at the hands. the other lines are just me matching up to see if they align with each other. The ankles could be slimmer also on both the front and back views.

also, on the image of the extreme close up of her vagina, it looks like there's a nasty seam right above her vagina. the fingers look fat and need nails [obviously] the stretched tendons are neat but the fingers are too fat to make them look right, skinny little fingers will balance that out i feel.

her face needs work and i can't offer any help on that front... I hate doing faces... Her ear could be lowered a tad I think.

Otherwise if you modeled this yourself then woop! Good work.

I don't quite know what you're talking about... I wouldn't call a website that allows advertisements for an AGS game a publisher, I'd call them a.. Publisist or something. If the website actively tried to get people to be excited about the game by posting about it, getting articles written about it, emailing people/taking emails from people, hosting the download, providing a website for the game... Then I might be inclined to say they're "publishing" it while the game makers are producing it.

Why can't we just check the official FOY site for news or the FOY dev thread on AGSforums? If Mark needs animators he can search them out and not rely on some random website to find it for them through a passive "ad"?

I understand what you mean that it can often feel like "who cares if i even finish this game." but if you can't get over that hump a "publisher" won't help much. They'll just stop "publishing" your game and you'll quit making it.

it seems you're the one freaking out Increator, it's not like anyone screamed and cried in outrage over the game, he said it very plainly, the game wasn't really to his tastes. Nothing wrong with that.

A game can be the most tastefull and well made thing in the world involving the rape and murder of a woman and if someone doesn't like that subject and they don't like the game it has nothing to do with paranoia or being uptight, it's just not for them.

What I hate in adventure games are jokes referencing how wacky it is to be in an adventure game. Discworld 2 did it and eh... AGS games do it and eh... Also, I dislike when people use the Monkey Island template and don't use all the verbs. If you're just going to be using look at walk to pick up and use then there's no need for all those other verbs.

that's not true at all Zor, many people have edited sierra and lucasarts and random other company sprites for many games. We don't all make our own sprites [Roy Lazoravich stole just about every single sprite from Monkey Island to make his game]

a huge site full of sprites [much like Junc's] could also be used as a way to look at how other adventure game art looks, see how they handled certain things like night scenes or drawing sprites or working with a limited pallete.

Big Trouble in Little China is a tough one to beat...

it's oh so lame and I can just imagine if they went through actually making it a sequel to Buckaroo Banzai

But I'm going to try and best your Big Trouble in Little China with KRULL, but I think I'd lose

It was quite funny and the art was really great

the art in the crystal room was real nice and the bird's next was awesome and i loved the little animation in the bird standing.

that's also something that was great, people didn't just SNAP! from one pose to another, you animated their arms moving and that's just awesome

i did encounter a bug however:

Heyo Kaaz,

question: did you just add black to create the shadows? Cause if so I heartily recommend not.

Use more colours to create shadow and not just black, also i'd like to see the backlight [which seems to be a yellow colour] actually cast a different light on the woman and of less intensity so that we have darker shadows being cut into with the backlight [but that could just be personal].

also, she's a tad yellow in the skin colour, I futzed with the hue/saturation to try to get a more skin like skin:

But now she's too red... A balance between the two I feel would look better.

I'm sorry, I have a hard time commenting on peices like this because I feel that I'm not good at it and I might be giving COMPLETELY wrong advice...
