Since there are no walking deads then i don't NEED to fill the jar with slime, so can't i save the fishes? I see Cosmo has a fish tank in the last room but there are no fish in it, wouldn't he be happy to have his fish? [and in a hitchhiker's guide kinda way they could become more than fish, a species that looks like a fish but actually isn't]

either way I just wanted to save those fish, know what I'm saying?

also, about the hotspot GUI messing with clicks, can't you just make it nonclickable?

personally i'd get rid of the arrows that change to "climb to such and such level" in the rocket because they messed with me something fierce, even when i had the inv gui open they would change and i had to click around to find the hotspot, i'd just change it to normal old interacting with the ladders

Potch, that's a bug I found and told def, best you can do is start over again and hope what ever sequence didn't get triggered triggers this time

I found the secret antigravity boots and used them and this happened. I couldn't get him down so he floated off to one of the planet's moons where the cutscene played where the space knights were introduced... just thought you should know i found it

gave it a shot,

got rid of the iframe and used a div tag and a server side include [not really necessary] to handle the frame in the center

i didn't spend a lot of time trying to emulate your site exactly and there are still some errors in opera but i just wanted to give you an idea of what one could do

Question: How will conversations be handled?

If you use text overlays or background speech there's only so many people that can be talking at the same time in the game. If you go into your own little two headed room like in Innocent Until Caught [or locally, Shadowplay] then you'll not know who's entering and exiting the room and the killer can walk in stroll around and murder both of you.

Instead of a mansion imagine this: Take Scorpious' CCS plugin and add let's say, 20 computer controlled people to the game. Imagine walking around outside and there are 8 people walking around and... Wait, is that person following me? Oh no! Is that the killer? I'll duck into this alley and see if he follows then I'll run... Ok, he didn't follow that was scary... Wait, who's this hiding in the shadows ARGHH!!!!

Maybe you have 1 day to stay alive and find the killer. You start in early morning and it ends late at night with the sun going down and the stars coming out and as the day gets later less and less computer controlled people are about because they're all going home. This makes it harder for the killer and easier for the victims [who had it easier at the beginning of the game staying alive] now you have only a few people to be curious of and there are less people around for the killer to kill you easier [let's say the killer can't kill you if anyone else is in the room, so you could stand in a populated place for protection though it would discourage a 2 person buddy system cause death would come easier.]

add in the flashlight plugin and nighttime gets uber scary [finding a light source first [flashlight/batteries lantern/fuel]

How does a vicitim stay alive when confronted by the killer?

The addition of a character select screen [adding special facial features/clothing so everyone doesn't look the same and one can hide among the NPCs better]

If someone dies within earshot of one of the NPCs the NPC will retain a short description of the last person they saw or something "He had a mustache and he went down that alley."

Adding the ability to run [like Revenants] this will make you suspicious to other NPCs and PCs.

The killer will have a photo of all the players in the game [since the character selection screen would allow new people to be created each game the photos would be necessary] or a description.

Can the killer kill NPCs?

i think i'm going to stop because i may just go on for pages

try blender... it's more like other 3d environments than truespace is and learning blender would be a good stepping stone

i'm not saying it wasn't hi-tech for it's time and i'm not saying anything against it's technology, i'm says that the tech did nothing to enhance the game. people walked about and you could follow them from room to room for...? Nothing... There was no point

only what, once did it matter where a guy was in the scenes in relation to you?

i agree on the constrained feeling [huge city and there are 2 apartments i can visit] but what i hope is that the 3d will open up the game world much more. i really want to be able to run and jump and climb through all those pipes and such, not just walk up to a random old man sitting on a stool and push some buttons.

um, I highly highly doubt it's not going to be 3d...

I played BASS and it was really pretty crap. the whole "Wow characters move around and stuff!" wasn't really all that amazing or important to the game at all. The story and a large portion of the puzzles existed on seperate planes and I didn't know what to do or why I was doing it for a large portion of the game. The animation looked good but I could care less about the main character or Joey and blah blah blah

whatever, I hope they can make a better game this time around I hope they use the world they created to their advantage with 3d. The environment was interesting and the multilevels and all the clutter, I hope it doesn't disappear in this game [if they make it set in The Gap I'm gonna explode some faces]

I really like the animation. He has a lot of bounce.

My only worry is that he'll be running from place to place and if he's just hanging out in his bedroom that may look a little weird.

other than that, see how the pink background changes size? that's what you want to avoid, put the guy in a box big enough to take all of his animation at once.

that and his foot comes down and it goes down a few pixels and then comes back up again shifting his whole body. that gives the impression that he isn't running on the same plane and is kind of jumping around

also his arms kind of meld with his body, there's no line to tell us when his arm is in front of his body or behind

if it's a good mic don't speak directly into it, speak over it so your breath doesn't woosh and the "p" doesn't pop

i say the lines repeatedly and try and record every try because you never know then i just edit out the TERRIBLE ones and keep the good.

also, i wouldn't worry about getting them all into ego1.wav or whatever the style is until you're done with the block of lines

it's easier said than done i know but just stop caring about what other people like and their need to tell you they're better. or stop talking to the people that do this constantly.

if it's just a general thing about the universe then i don't know what else to say than "Can't please all the people all the time."

and the whole gay guy being called a fag thing is a pretty big generalization. there are people who hate having their eye colour mistaken for green when it's obvious they have blue eyes, does that mean that all people with blue eyes are like this? no.

define class, define taste, define better than you?

these should all be things you define for yourself not letting other people define them for you. if you say you have no class then tell me what class is to you.

the generally accepted definition for walking dead is like if you use all your money in Zak and can't travel anymore... the game didn't officially end but there is nothing left for you to do and no way to continue. You're walking around and doing things but you might as well be dead.
