Heh, DG, incase you really didn't realize, I was only kidding ;) I was just adding to the pure insanity of it all.

dammit DG, see what you failed to do!

if you're asking this question it is going to take a long.... long.... long...... time to learn

i guess the best thing to use is poser although you'll end up with the same looking character as everyone else using poser [sure you can download additional characteres but... they all still look the same]

if you know absolutely noyhing about working in 3d then you are going to have the hardest time ever on this game, learn 3d first then try applying it to a game, don't do them at the same time, especially if you want photorealistic

a couple hours, mostly figuring out how to best put it together in flash took the longest

why not look for people that are into what you like?

i'm about to look for some peeps who are into comics and drawing them and maybe even making games in my area. The best thing to do I guess is to look for meetings or something, my brother goes to this meeting hall where people show and talk about movies they've made in upstate new york

he's met a lot of people and is shooting a movie with them now

just a suggestion, and the benefits are that it's less like a date, if there's some people there you don't like you can just move away from them and onto someone else

lots and lots of game theory has been shooting about my little head lately. I've been thinking about writting it down...

The only reason I don't write it here is that I've been looking for serious discussion and these forums have a habit of going silly, that and there are a lot of people here and trying to read and comment on EVERYONE's comments is neigh-impossible

this is not a jab at the forums or "TEH CURR3NT STATE UV NOOWBIEES!"

i just saw busta rhymes in concert a few weeks ago, i was working at the venue and his show was the best of them all. Missy Elliot, Ja Rule, 50 cent, Busta and Spliff and some other guy who i missed

I can't say Busta is a puppet, what is your reasoning for saying anyone is really? Have you seen them, spoken to them, been with them at meetings? to oppose the advertising is fine but how can you possibly know what it's like to be a musician in the mainstream of the music industry?

having no musical history class but basing my knowledge of classical painting, the artists of the past were not free to paint whatever they wanted. Paint, a studio, workers, canvas, brushes especially, these were very expensive back then [still are] and they had to work FOR the ruling class painting what THEY wanted [hence all the christian centric art] So the question is, are classical composers the same?

oh yea Danger High Voltage by Electric Six gets my vote also, the video is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a long time.

and Mindless Self Indulgence - Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy album is also awesome

heh how interesting

when dmitri was giving all the points on why he likes classical all i could think is "this is exactly why i love nick cave and there's GarageGothic loving him too."

for me i'd rather my music not to be so black and white, good, powerful, evil and nick cave is all about that

he and the bad seeds sometimes make me laugh and cry in the same song. the songs are scary and yet lovely, frightening and yet... well damned frightening

then there are musicians like The Flaming Lips especially with their new album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and Grandaddy's album Sophtware Slump

gorgeous full music that is layered so well.

Whether it's singing about Jeddy 3 or Time Travelers or even a cover of The Hammer Song

some damn fine music

mitar, don't you get the AGS newsletter?

this is true, CJ's been working on it in secret so as not to cause a mass influx of people
#3775
and what happens when that forum fills up and people are posting stupid things? another forum?

and just cause someone's been around for a long time doesn't make them mature
#3776
wouldn't we rather CJ focus on AGS and not corraling people into forums

and what about the person sitting there in front of their comp reading these forums saying "yea a forum for us oldies! just what the doctor ordered!" and then the forum opens and they don't get invited. anger

again, we're here to make games. if you spend the majority of your time here in gen gen posting things then you aren't making games. you want to get in good with the community, make a game, don't post randomly and quickly

tighten the rules of registration, set a daily post count [only here and in ags gen maybe]

get the mods back in action, confront through PM's people you feel are ignoring the rules, confront a mod about it.

tons of people break the forum rules constantly in every forum. oldies newbies youngbies tallbies wallabies and i don't just mean people who post in the wrong forum. how many people post in the critics forum "WOW!" or "NEAT!"

again bah whatever

i think this is all pretty sad and i keep thinking of the sentence that helm said once, and i said, and dg said and cj said and everyone has said at least once in their life here

shouldn't we be more focused on making games and not posting in a forum

fiddled with hey eyes and lips

the lips are still weird but i think that comes from the fact that the bw copy was a little washed out, i think that's the majority of my problems with it. everything is washed out

try scanning your own photo or something and colouring that, the quality and detail would sky rocket i believe

[and you probably didn't scan it but get it off the internet]
