In my opinion the game is more about running around in interesting worlds and navigating them. Nifflas's levels are nicely made, well planned out and atmospheric and they entertain me. Some rooms challenge me game play wise and some are just nice to run around in.

In my personal New Yorker opinion, you are in a relatively safe area. A gang of 40 to 50 people sounds like a pretty huge group of people. How do 50 people stab someone? What was the group doing?

Anyway, if you feel unsafe go ahead and move I guess, but it's not really that bad.

Fire won't be as impressive as you imagine I don't think. The fire will start and all the warm air will push the other cards around and it'll just fall down and kind of burn.

why not just use GIF or FLC and copy paste over any frames that need correcting?

to use AGS's current system lay your sprite sheet out in a 1 row line, add a pixel row on the bottom and draw a line that length of the frame

If I'm reading you right, and I'm not 100% sure that I am... Just play rated games then? If you're that worried about it, don't play the "unsafe" unrated games.

However, they're just AGS games, not really many that are so offensive children would cry looking at them.

I'm not speaking for any committee but when a game comes out it's not like the people rating games are going to jump on it the second it comes out and rate it. When the backlog is rated I could imagine one week out of the month the ratings panel of the moment catches up and rates the outstanding games.

I've tried going places to write... There are people that spend hours in coffee shops and all that but I find them MORE distracting than sitting at home with a kitty and some music on.

So I guess what I'm saying is, don't try to force the idea of coffee shop writing if it doesn't work. When I tried it [it wasn't a coffee shop but still] I was all ready to start drawing, had my pad and pencil, sat down, was all prepared but holy crap, people walking around, talking, the door constantly opening and closing. Took all the wind out of my sails and I felt like a fool.

I think your keyboard is broken, lo_res_man. Might want to look into that.
